Think shopping, think Hong Kong. That’s the message Hong Kong singer-actress Karen Mok has for Malaysians as the Special Administrative Region kicks off another Hong Kong Shopping Festival.Â
“I have been all over the world, but somehow I always end up doing most of my shopping in Hong Kong,†said Mok, who appears in the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s commercials for the shopping festival.Â
It is the second time in three years that she has been the ambassador for the event.Â
She was at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel here for a press conference on the Hong Kong Pavilion exhibition which will be set up at the Greatest Tourism Carnival 2007 event at Putra World Trade Centre this weekend.Â
This year is auspicious for Hong Kong, as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.Â
According to Augustine Lee, deputy director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore, Hong Kong had much to celebrate, and it was illustrated in the Hong Kong Pavilion exhibition.Â
The Hong Kong Pavilion is the largest contingent that HKTB has ever organised for a tourism fair.Â
