Dear Razlen & Kat
Oooh.. that’s a pity!! I thot if u were to pre-order they would give u a better price. Hmm … I wonder how Tesco & Carrefour managed to bring the price down so much!!!

MPH, Times, Harris and Popular just announced that they won’t sell the book any more as a protest towards the hypermarkets selling it at a lower price.

If you want a classic example of cutting off your nose to spite your face, this is it. This is a dumb move on their part.

i am not concern so much when i see tesco selling the book at RM70. This is because Popular gives 20% pre-order discount and additional 10% discount for being popular card member. So, total is 30% discount, which brings the book to RM7x.
But if you see the borders advert, they are giving 20% discount, which brings the price to RM8x and then additional RM30 discount and free starbucks b’fast, it means the book is RM5x and free starbuck b’fast. this is the real killing price….

Are you sure that Popular’s pre-order will give you 20% discount? I’m one of the one who pre-ordered at popular too. They told me if i’m member just 10% discount. No further discount. So, they said they can refund to me if i dont want the book anymore. And so, I got myself a book at Carrefour this morning and got my deposit RM50 cash from Popular in the afternoon.
