THE fact that the average Malaysian loves to shop is undisputably valid that it has become almost a defining factor of our culture. Also, backing up the statement is the proliferation of shopping centres that have become part of our landscape. But what impact do the growth and change of these retail centres have on today’s shoppers? In other words, when does a shopping centre stop being just a shopping centre?Â
The shopping centre of yesteryear has become so much more than just what the name used to imply. Today, retail centres have become somewhat of a cultural nexus and even convenient meeting points. And while all these other activities are ongoing in the background, the shoppers are now really spoilt for choice.Â
