  5. dhya says:

when there lunch hour, most of the children books 30%, 50% and some of it value buys…but bila nak bayar today they dont really ask for the members card, anyway parking ada space nearby dewan but lunch time packed, around 2.30 few books stock arrived no long queue at that time, and they provide empty box for you …well guys, happy shopping yaaa…..btw, original VCD such as thomas train, bob the builder etc around rm 11 onwards, movie such as monster inc. rm 14

Juz came back from the whse sale. Parking quite difficult to find but still manageable. But i went there at 4.45pm n the crowd is bigger when i left at 6.30pm. Q is not long since they have 12 counters (if i’m not mistaken). Can use cash or credit card. Hmm… the book price from famous authors (Sophie Kinsella, John Grisham) is around RM25/pc. Kid’s books is around 30% off from the already cut price. It is still quite cheap, i guess. Saw a lady ‘borong’ 6 full boxes! The extra 30% for item with code 18 is hard to find, though. Only for low price items (eg. RM2 or RM5/pc). The items are not so organized in the eve. Maybe better luck in the morning. Opps, wrote too much! Happy shopping n reading!

Hi. Went there in the afternoon. The crowd is pretty ok and traffic is heavy but manageable as there are traffic police directing traffic. Parking is ok if you don’t mind parking further away. I saw some MPH workers helping buyers deliver their purchases to their cars on trolleys. So, I guess if you buy a lot, there is help available.

Lots of children’s book at 30%. There older books on 50 or 70% discounts but the choices are quite limited. The better ones such as Disney, or Dr Suess (RM60+) or those musical/interactive books are at value buy. Anyway, looking at the prices, I think there is only a small discount at RM36 or RM48. A complete gift set of Dr Suess is at RM133. And complete Narnia is at RM113. Not sure about the actual prices.

The 50% are gift boxes book such as complete yoga, scrapbooking, drum, counting, …. Those that come in a tin box. Those are pretty worth it at 50%. There are novels, cook books, self help books, and crafts books. I got some cook books at RM5 but most of them are value buys. I saw some paperback novels at RM20 but at another section, other tittle paperbacks are at RM30+.

Anyway, I think if you are looking for famous tittles such as Dora, Barbie, Disney…not sure about the discounts as the prices are at value buy. But other not so ‘famous’ tittles like Fairy Tales, Nursery Rymes, baby books are at better bargains. Most of them at 30%.

    Hope this helps. Enjoy shopping!

Just got back. Really crowded. Expect to park a little further if you’re going over the weekend.

There were a lot of people with boxes (provided by MPH), so expect to be bumped into every so often.

Books on tables so messy I didn’t even bother to dig very deep.

Books on shelves are a tiny smidge cheaper than retail, but still too expensive for me personally.

If you’re buying less than 5 items, there’s a counter outside for that – but it’s two people writing out receipts by hand.

Went there this morning 10+am… quite a lot of cars, no parking in the area. Option to park at side of road, around the area carparks. A lot of people, crowded, hardly any space to maneuvre around. Advice: Don’t carry the box provided by staff, for your books… it’s too bulky and difficult to squeeze in the crowd. Just carry your books until you reach the cashier queue, get a box and drag it along on the floor.

Whole place is a maze, one has to cover every inch in order to miss anything. Typical idiots are throwing books everywhere once not interested…. causing bundles of books mixed and matched… while staff are randomly organising them back. And of course, no common sense people are bringing their kids and babies along… family in tow…. causing more irrelevant traffic. So, to those who are going, be civilised, have consideration, don’t throw stuff all over the place or on top of bundle.

Cashier queues are long (split to either credit/cash or cash only)…. but many cashiers keep the lines moving fast… kudos. Still, MPH should have common sense to set cashiers outside (more space)… the queues were one reason of more traffic in the hall. I nearly gave up, but stayed on, lasted 5 mins or so. Bought RM300+ worth. phew!

Discounts are all mixed…. have to see to judge. Once a while, announcements are made on certain specials at front of hall… which i think is ridiculous, cos knowing the traffic there, do they expect people to jump on top of each other to rush to the front?!!! Only announcement that interest me, was ladybird books for rm4. Service is provided to carry books to your car, if buy in bulk.

i just loveeeee this clearance sale. bought mostly for my daughter. didnt find any for myself since the paperback not so cheap. but for kids, it was a steal. beli tak sampai RM100 pun. around 8 books and box sets. the q untuk bayar, very quick. senang dan mudah. overheard one of the salesperson cakap, “thought nobody will turn up.” heheheh! i think it’s more than they bargain for. kena hati-hati so tak langgar any budak while carrying those bulky boxes. bebudak tu buat macam kat kedai. nampak buku best, diorang trus amik and duduk kat situ untuk baca. hehehe! yang orang besar2 pun tak pandai nak kesian kat bebudak tu.

  12. Eunice says:

sounds really good…will drop by later…
any good novels to be ‘cleared’?

  13. luke says:

any tech/ computer books& book on sale any book from as low as RM 1?

  14. amy says:

Those who went, saw any Lonely Planet books? If got, maybe I’ll visit their next warehouse coz wasted my time at the FJB warehouse and cant go on public holidays or weekends as I dont have a nanny for my baby.
