i’ve been to sale. It’s by invitation.. and I didn’t have any bcoz my friend didn’t tell me that important part. BUT i was rescue by a kind shopper who could bring in 5 guests with her poster (she said she got it from e-mail n just print out).

The prices there are like rm70-200++ and even more for limited edition or cooler looking swatches. rm70 being the cheapest n most simple lookin watch e.g children’s normal strappy or ladies normal strappy. RM100 being like RM300 over types of swatch watches u see in the shops.

Generally u should look out for:

Battery condition (they set up another room/booth to replace batteries..so get your batteries change after paying) My batteries were changed but they died after a few months too.

Warranty is only 6 months from the date of purchase from this sale. Keep the receipt.

Condition of your watch, is it scratch? the leather strap dulling/old?

Overall very good buy here, but A LOT OF PEOPLE, and with a Que as well. Starts from early morning before openin lotsa people already standing. My last swatch sale was crampy at Boustead. Good bargains n cheap watches are gone in the first few minutes of opening. IMPULSE BUYING at a high bcoz of the aggressive crowds. Buy only what u need..bcoz how many times are u goin to wear that watch or watches?

A great gift buying idea too.. :D

    July 2nd, 2008 @ 11:49 am

Hey all..just went to SWATCH SALE yesterday at OneSentral. They actually did a one day sale for PwC staffs. It was worth buying if you are a SWATCH fan since they are giving 50-70% discount out of normal price. U can get to buy SWATCH for around RM80-RM300 depending on the model. But the stocks are very limited. They will display the watch and give cataloqs for is to choose which model we want. Then we have to fill in order form and we have to give them the form and they will look for us. Its on first come first serve basis. They also sell CK watches.

    Dear All

Sorry if we created a confusion on The Invites, we were under the impression that we need not bring the invite, but after reading MIU’s comment, we are now not sure.

To play it safe, just print the Swatch Warehouse Sales Flyer from the post above lah, so if they ask u if u have invite, tell them that’s what you received. (Cos that’s what we received).

    Happy Shopping

pernah pegi last time, last year kot, curious gak in case perlu invitation card tapi sampai sana, tak cek pon, masa sampai tepat2 tapi q tak ramai, just lebih kurang yang ke 20 tapi punyer la lama nunggu nak dapat turn, 2-3 jam, rasa nak blah pon ada tapi mikirkan dah penat tunggu, akhirnya masuk jugak tapi malangnya, katalog pilihan jam idaman yang diberi awal, satu habuk pon tak dapat, sume dah kene sapu, yang tinggal, yang mahal dan bukan pilihan, penat q nye pasal, beli jugak 4 jam, harga RM150-RM250, yang murah bwh hundred, sume dah kene sapu. So komen saya, sumenya nasib, 1st come, 1st serve, ada rezeki, ada la. Selamat menyoping..

i went for their invitation sale last year.
had to wait for almost 3 hours, and the line didnt move at all.
mainly cuz ppl took SOO long to decide which watch to buy.
was given a catalogue when lining up. very limited pieces. the nice ones, only had like.. 2 or 3..
the kiddy designs, some got like 20 or 30pieces.
they had more mens watches than women. mens, the metal strap type, some designs had more than 20pieces. womens, most only 2 or 3.

I was there for the opening at Menara Boustead, but long que, need wait 1 hour just to get in. A list was being distributed but not everyone got the list. This time at IBM i hope it’s not so crampy and faster.

Just to be safe, print out the poster at SNS!!!!!!!!

i don’t know why some say don’t need, n some could sneak in. When I was there early the guards/persons in charge infront don’t let ppl in without poster.

But they say the poster can bring in 5 friends so a kind shopper brought me n my auntie in.

went there this morning.. the staff were rude.. they said they were unable to control the crowd, so, they wont display some of the watches.. and will sell it to their friends….

the price is not that cheap compare to the original price…

  58. anasatasea
    July 4th, 2008 @ 2:18 pm

Actually diorang ni tak lah rude sangat tapi their system yang teruk…Ada ke patut satu kaunter jer untuk bayar…..tempat tulah nak check barang, tempat tu jugaklah nak chop warranty, tempat tu gak nak bayar n tulis resit. Macam kes i tadi, list form hilang padahal i dah pass…..so terpaksa fill up form again..End up barang yang nak dah ada orang amik…
Datang sebelum kul 9 pun tak dapat jam yang nak whereas orang yang datang kemudian dapat jam tu…Staf pun tak ramai……Dah tahu rakyat malaysia nie suka warehouse sale, n somemore branded staff…prepare lah how to jaga crowd…..
Dah lah tu ada yang display item tapi last stock…by rite put a note lah….

  60. fashion_addict
    July 4th, 2008 @ 3:15 pm

hi ppl….i went to the sales before lunch….it took me 1 /12 hr juz to get a watch…..
i agree with anasatasea that their system bad…..if plan to do a sales like this, they should expect big crowd, therefore they should plan out properly…… the display items were in a mess, only some on the racks…..some watches they put on the table & get 2 staff to take care of it, the rest on the floor behind their counter…..knowing malaysians, definitely we want to see everything before choosing…..so, wat i saw was ppl asking n pointing for this n that….. there’s a malay guy who was kind enough to accomodate to some buyer’s request, but there were too many ppl…..at a point, i even heard another male staff telling him not to show watches from the floor, ask customer juz fill up the form & they will pack up the items……but once pack up, they expect you to buy it, no thinking or changing….
i also agree with merry that the staff there are rude, not friendly at all….. a lady staff was saying loudly that the crowd are not co-operating, but i think this is the result of their bad arrangement ……things got worst at the so-called “cashier counter” where there were only 2 staff who collect money, issue receipt, check watches & chop warranty card…..it took them long time as some ppl want to change watches, reject watches & some watches on their list not packed…..so, there goes time waiting for them to check & check….. another major problem that i observe is that when other staff pack the watched in plastic bags, they juz dump it on the floor, not arranged according to which bag comes first……so, the more they pack the orders & dump on the floor, the later orders will get the watches first, while the ppl who submit orders early had to wait as their packed bags were at the bottom of the lot…..i heard many ppl complaining about that…..
it was a total disaster, not systematic at all….. everyone was pushing, looking for catalogue and form to fill up the code, waiting for the watches…..
there was a total silence at a point of time when a young gal was not happy with a staff i think, as she walked away she shouted ‘u ppl are very rude’…… n guess wat i heard from a male & female staff at the counter, they were refering to that gal, saying something to the effect ‘if she wants to be serve so nicely, go n buy at original prices from the shop, not here’…..but they didn’t say it out loudly, juz at the cashier table n ppl standing in front of them could hear it…..omg, i was shocked to hear that coming from the staff, they should at least straighten out the matter with the young gal, see wat went wrong & wat angered her…..
my personal conclusion is they are not prepared & not organized enough…..i hope in future if they plan to do this kind sales, pls pls be more organized….. it can save everybody’s time & energy, n make shopping a fun activity!!!

  61. Shane
    July 4th, 2008 @ 4:04 pm

Well majority of the watches are terrible looking and they even have the 1998 KL Commonwealth Games Special Edition!
Some of the watches even turn ‘Yellow’ already.
Cheapest is about $80 while average is $100+ for those plastic and $220+ for those which comes with metals. From their pricelist on average everything is on 50%.
Frankly speaking really not worth buying.

  62. amanda
    July 4th, 2008 @ 4:46 pm

Do the staffs know that buyers are creating job opportunities for them? Does the organizer realize that we actually help them to get rid of the old stocks and they get the huge amount of cash just in a day! They should thank us coz no demand lead to no supply.

  63. redhat
    July 4th, 2008 @ 5:56 pm

i guess staff sales is for the staff of the particular companies. it would be a much better sale if we knew about the one in OneSentral. More stock ;)

I went there, arrived at 10:15am. At first, i was totally blur what to do. very crowded. I thought, there r lot of ppl come and go to this little tiny warehouse sale, but actually it is caused by extremely unorganized system plus hardly 10 staff handling the crowd. the warehouse sale was disappointing because the staff are rude. I was there when the lady shout “you people are very rude”, and i heard the same feedback from the staff as mentioned by fashion addict. Even though the customer is not always right, but we deserve to be treated right. They took 1 hour to pack my watch. Then, it turned out that the watch is not as what i have in mind, and the other pair is out of stock, but i agreed to take the display set. However the lady asked me to find a staff (they refer her as janis) that handling display watch by myself. Waited for 10 minutes then manage to get the display set. After that, i have to go through the waiting process again. they take my watch, put in a miserable orange plastic bag, dump it on the floor. they really get through my nerves. a few times i asked them to pick my watch and pass it to cashier counter, but they refuse to, and keep on calling people that not there anymore. At 12:10 PM, i walked out from that place, without buying anything. I’ve been to many warehouse sale, but this is the worst in my life. I hope swatch can take some action and change my perception of swatch and swatch staff. I love swatch, and my mission going to the warehouse sale is to get my favorite swatch irony 2002 model that has been stolen last year. But what i get is a very bad impression towards Swatch.

  67. aesha
    July 5th, 2008 @ 1:06 am

well…guess its not so bad sales after all…mean i went there twice . first in the morning around 9.00 and later after 1.00…

im da early birds (seriously damm packed that time eventhough came up early) i have to agree about the bad system. it was BAD BAD BAD however cant blame them. they are unorganized + tiny place + crowed people sure create madness. anyways their rule is….if u write it u must buy it.
    “evrything or nothing at all”
For example in the order form u write SWATCH A and Swatch B. then after long waiting moment. u finally got ur watches..and see them thus decide to have Swatch B only. the chinese lady who incharge of the selling process wont sell unless u bought everything. Guess dat one of the rude part…another thing is they wont allow u to see the catalogue (colour printed ) as it for the SA. my suggestion since they only “display” few watches..why dont pOSted the catalogue (colour printed) on the wall. should it make our and their life less miserable. i end up buying 3 swatch dat time…
    1) swatch with bangle strap(SUBM106B)…retail rm295 —->rm150
    2)swatch skin white colour strip with star(SFK242)….retail rm320 —->rm160
    3)swatch black colour (LK177)……..retail rm220——->rm110

Later i went there again since my bro want to buy his own watch. so went there aroung 1 o’clock. damm~!! there less crowd. u can see the catalogue calmly and peacefully. i would prefer to come at this time rather than the early part since we can think rationally what to buy and decide without the craziness and crowdness of ppl influence our judgement.but the downside, off course only few models available. (however those rm60,rm70,rm90 swatches alredi sold out during few minutes when open since its have few only like 1-2 piece) huhu..since i able to look the catalogue calmly dats why i able to mesmerize the price. My bro was lucky, the display unit stated rm220 which is 50% off from normal retail price. since we haf the time to browse the catalogue it turns out dat in the catalogue it stated rm180 (70% off). then we pay rm180 loh.

well im might let go my white swatch skin (force to buy it since alredi written in the form with the swatch bangle strap. “everything or nothing at all”) its either COD KL area or postage.

i only can say bad service the swatch staff provide.the gal is scolding why need to wait long & ask them to fine her order but the staff replied that “if you wanna to wait or you can go , it is ok for me coz i cant serve everybody”. my godness…….

i have to put in some comments……………….i went to the sale around 12.20 pm….at first the crowd was ok, but it started to build up in 10-15 minutes later….my worst experience when the staff showed me the watch i noted on the form and i tried on the bangle watch to see whther it fits/looks ok to me….unfortunately, the bangle watch was big and i tried and tried for abt 2 more min……………….this lady staff commented by saying that ader ramai lagi yg i nak layan…cepatlah sikit…..i replied, i just want to try to see whether it looks ok on me………she said we have no time for trying, the one you wrote on the form, you have to but it…..she said it rudely…..i was so mad at her, that i left the counter without buying any of those watches………serves her right!………….i have to agree with the comments stating that the staffs were rude!!!!not all,but some of the staffs……………………………….it’s not rm10 we’re paying but hundreds of ringgit….they should be more organized for this kind of sale…..not just two/three tables……..i was truly not satisfied , it doesn’t matter that i couldn’t get to buy any watches, at least be polite to customers…….

I have to say that this is the worst warehouse sale i have been to purely based on how the staffs were treating the buyers. They were extremely rude.

    1. I wanted to have a look at the coloured catalogue but I was told I was not allowed to do so. while i was picking my watch from the “black, white and blurry” catalogue, a lady staff just told me rudely those in the catalogue are not up to date. if you want just go pick from the display. I can’t be bothered to what she was saying cause many other people had watches which werent on the display.

    2. While I was waiting for my order, there was this bunch of girls next to me. They were looking through the stuffs they ordered. In the end they only wanted one. The swatch lady scolded them saying that if they didnt want all the watches they shouldnt have wrote them down in the order form and mentioned that it was very tough for them to look for the watches and pack them. So, being disorganised is the customers fault? so swatch pays them to just sit around???? what do they expect?? they are paid to be there to do so!!! This is ridiculous!!!! Also, you cannot expect people to be buying the watches without looking at them first. I mean, what do you expect when your catalogue is black, white and blurry!!!!!!

    3. After packing the customers orders, the swatch ppl just threw the bags on the floor. Yeah, the watches are cheaper than usual but I am sure it wouldn’t last that long.

Anyway, I was so pissed off by the staffs’ attitude, I didnt bother buying anything. Though the watches are cheaper than usual, I still believe that as a consumer I should be treated with respect irregardless of whether its a warehouse sale or at the outlets because I am paying for the goods and services.

from reading all the comments, i think the swatch sales are around the same each year.
i went for the sale last year, at Wisma Goldhill or something like that, near Jalan Raja Culan.
they didnt even let us TRY the watches. can only look from the casing.
was very bad, esp since i bought a bangle watch, and in the end, it was too big for my wrist. waste of time and money.

when i went, the most time was spent writing all those warranty cards and stuff. some advice, have more people to do that. when i went, there was this salesgirl who was just sitting there reading the newspaper. another was calling like every single contact from her phonebook, which we were waiting in like for almost 4 hours, and just picked up 4 miserable designs.

only had the old stock. only worth your time if you are gettin them as gifts. dont go expecting the 07-08 models.
