    from what I understand, u can only get the invites from estee lauder staffs. they will not be advertising about this sales. it’s really a word-of-mouth thingy.

    i got my invites from my colleague’s sister, whom a estee lauder’s staff there. got 3 invites, but i guess i will be using only 1 because my other 2 frens ffk me last minute.

    last time stila cosmetics under estee lauder, but now is under luxasia. I’ve been waitin for stila cosmetic warehouse sale T_T sigh! anybody know if estee lauder warehouse sale will still feature stila?

    well…first and foremost…you have to line up really early for this sale…because there is going to be a very big crowd, if you come after 8am be prepare to wait in a very long line. all items are pre packed. price usually ranges from rm 60 for mac stuff, for example retail for mac lip glass is rm 60 for one , at the sale they offer 3 for rm 60 but the catch is they pack nice colors with a not so nice color.

    perfume ranges from 60 – 100…i e last year i bought aramis women 50 ml edp was rm 60. coffret set true star gold was rm 80. bobbie brown is usually the first one to finish. origins spa sets are great for gifts or just to pamper your self.

    very worth to go coz you can save a lot. miu asked the staff last year, although they still have stock balance but they cant sell stilla coz they dont have the rights any more. as for the invitation they usually check at the door and they will collect when you go to pay. as for payment method they both take cash and card but usually cash line is faster. this is the sale i save up for every year. minimum budget is rm 500 coz when you see the prices you would go crazy and want to buy a lot.

    there will be selfish people that will grab every thing they see and sort it out later so if you cant find what you want at the tables, just hover the sorting areas and grab it from there. so for those who are going to the sale, have fun shopping ! see you there

    i think it’s hard to restrict such selling from happening unless sns banned such sales from being advertised in here. Sales that need special invites in which public can’t even get or go.

    wahhhhh…..i didn’t know the invitations are like so precious and hard to get. i should have requested for 100 invites when my colleague asked that time. i actually got 5. i have donated 2. now left 3, which planned to go with my friends. but since they ffk me, so i guess i have 2 extra now.

    but so many request here, how to divide my 2 invites ah??

    at least we know there is a sale (altho it’s for staff & friends) and can try to get an invite ( i dunno- maybe thru their beauty counter, call them, go to their office and ask for invite etc) or like chomel said, try to crash on the day itself – who knows, maybe u can get in… or maybe can try to kirim to those who are going..

    Hi..just wanna share wit u all that this sale is very worth to go for. i have spend RM500 for like dozens of make-ups but didn’t manage to get any nice perfume as all have taken by others. my frend told me that it was by invitation but when i reached there she just pull me in without showing any invitee card. and yeah really have to be there very early, the best by 730am to avoid long queue!

    go girls, get ready by this 19 July and grab what u can and save a lot for the whole year!

    i think its a good thing to inform us about this sale…
    i have a connection with some estee staff (friend of a friend….etc)
    i was waiting to be informed bout this sale.. so i can go find (*beg* heheh) some invites…

    this year…. i was offered the invite by someone…
    but didnt know bout this sale…
    i was surprised that this advert bout the estee sale was kinda late..

    I’m dying to go to this sale i spend a lot of money on estee lauder skincare (night repair serum , night repair eye cream, idealist, daywearplus!)

    but i change my mind after seeing the pics from last year sale.

    As much as i wanna save money for my estee lauder skincare but i don’t wanna go through thousands of people pushing and smelly like hungry for food! like they haven’t eat in days. well, this one’s like, it’s the end of the make up world. Panic buying! im pretty sure some people end up buying stuff they don’t really need just because its on SALE! its like a magnet. don’t get me wrong i’m like that too.

    I dont have any invitation card, but i dun feel this is good!

    I agreed that this is a good Sales information sharing but since this is a private Sales by invitation, for those who know this in future please do not share in SNS. (As unnecessary conflict has been created and the worst part is selling the invitation off for more than RM50? It’s free! A privilage for “Staff” not “Outsider”).

    For those without invitation card, i dun really think you should go there and try your luck, coz you might create unecessary embarrassment. (You want to snatch inside by lucky then go ahead, but once if you caught by the security pls dun shout infront there) Either you take it or leave it.

    There is still many warehouse sale going on, and as a freequent reader i must say “Gals, use your money wisely”

    Agree with you that its not nice for the readers to have to BUY an invite to go in for the Estee Lauder Sale. That’s rather unfortunate.

    We were hoping that people who didn’t need it would pass it on to others like some bloggers, that we noticed.

    For those of you who bought the Invites, we hope that you will greatly benefit from the Estee Lauder sale.

    We guess… this is where the law of Demand & Supply comes in, there are just those who are interested in Estee Lauder and would do things (including pay) in order to get in, and there are readers who will just give this post a miss.

    In the end.. we hope all of u will be happy!! :)

    huh? I didn’t knew that the card worth RM50 bucks… Just throw away last nite, LOL. Coz we will be away KL so don’t think so we manage to joint the sales. Sometimes those sales is worth if you have extra cash or budgeted expenses. BTW… gotto check the expiry date. Don’t complaint after apply some make up few days later & your face become more worst then b4. kekeke…

    Hi guys,

    Just collect my invitation card at dkny counter sogo. I got 6 card! But dnt begging me for the card as its all belong to me & frens.

    I wanna share with u guys interesting info printed on the card.

    1. ADMIT ONE – means 1 card = 1 person only
    2. Invitation card is required for admittance and will be collected at entrance
    3. All purchases are limited to not more than 3 units of each item and not exceeding RM2,000 while stocks last

    and the more surprising is, my card series no is 89xx.. means they had distributed over 8000 invitation. so 8000 ppl during the sales?? wowww.. this is crazy. mcm nak pergi berperang! hehe

    my advise.. to those yang tak ada card, i dunt think its a gud idea for you guys to go. but anyhow, if u stil insist to go, its yur choice :)

    well, me and frens waiting for the sales so muchhh.. hope tak ada laa riot or watever.. hehe .. so guys.. happy shopping!! :)

    well girls…i dunno y some of u r selling the invites at even RM80! that is daylight robbery man..its a no no thing to do espcially to shopaholics like all of us who are trying to get discounts n bargains..shame on u ppl…

    btw, since it is a one day thingie…it is really not worth going…im sure there will be lots n lots of human beings quieing…i read even some of u r going there at 5am! ive been to a warehouse sale in park royal bout 2 3 mhts ago..i regretted so much…if u guys can look back at the comments…all of us regretted going..unless those whoe went queing since 3 am in the morning, im sure the borong all the perfumes until those who came a bit later didnt get any good stuff but for the sake of the 3 hours waste of time quieing, i have to buy sumthg right??

    beware of fraudulent “imitation” invitation cards..

    i heard some people pay rm50 and found out their card is home made (scan n print out n cardboard)

    don’t pay rm50 n then..kenot masuk the estee lauder place also ok..

    I bought 2 Estee Lauder sets. One for RM100, the other for RM145. Also, Idealist Micro-D for RM70. Mac lip gloss was going for RM60/ RM55 for 3 – mixed colours. Didnt bother looking at the other make-up stuff as there were too many people around.

    Just got back, I reckon it’s better this year compared to the 2007 – better colours for mac/estee lauder/clinique overall. As of 8am, the only thing left from BB was the concealer.

    Just a note, some skincare/foundation that were sold was manufactured in mid 2005, don’t know if you’d want to put those on your skin. Some perfumes didnt even smell like perfume anymore, donno when it was manufactured – so do test n spray first b4 buying, the staff will obviously provide a newer version as tester so don’t be deceived!

    for me the sale was stress free… arrived at 6am, sat on the floor in line and played with my nintendo for an hour or so…. went in at around 7 am…. not many people inside yet… looked around, grabbed what i wanted…. paid at cashier, no line at all… 7.40 already on the monorail, on the way back home…

    the only sacrifice, bangun awal maaa…

    hi everyone.. i was at the sales too, thanks alot to MYS!

    me and my sis got there slightly before 7am, the crowd was already huge. we met MYS and she was there at 6.15am and believe it or not she was at the end of the snake queue! haha!

    for you gals who are still looking for invitations, i don’t think by this hour it is still worth going.. when we left at 9, the queue was from level 2 down to ground floor out of the entrance!

    anyway, we really had to have very strong will power to put back so many things that we actually wanted! =( in the end bought more skin care, less make up items….

    Hi All!!~

    Arrived there at around 7.30AM. Tubbies went in ady but luckily she was willing to go out and pass me the card (Thank you so much Tubbies!!~). The crowd is super crazy. Managed to get the stuff that I wanted (MAC makeup -palette, lipgloss, lisptsick), except for Bobbi Brown (left with very few items -concealer, foundation). There was no payment que at all! Overall, worth it, am really satisfied >.<

    huhu…yups mostly every thing dat i want “clear” alredi by the time after 9.00am. but luckily still manage grab few perfume n make up. But definitely for perfume luxasia sales is cheaper (hehe…lucky i went to menara hap seng before).im not so much into skin care or make up. yups nadj the EL eyeshadow is around dat price rm60 (basicly all cometic is under rm100)
    i wonder why ppl can be so sarcatic and self centered. nways dont worry nadj do update with this site since there’ll be other people who want to let go their items as in the price the bought at EL sales (perhaps extra charges only for courier -rm8 mostly)
    thanks again for vantruz who give invitation for FREE unlike certain people sell it (man..u got it free *Sigh* then sell it some more with rm50/rm80 aiyoo…)

    owh..i almost forgot to announce. im letting go my Bobbi Brown “Sun Kissed Face Pallete” at the EXACTLY same price i bought it, RM80 (For COD : Cheras/PJ area only, thru courier need to add few ringgit only)
    It has 2 eyes shadow(Bone, chocolate), blusher(Bahama Brown) and lip shine SPF 15 (Bikini Pink,Bronze Pink).
    the reason why im letting it go coz da colour for blusher is darker than my skin huhuhu..(adviseable for people with slightly darker skin tone perhaps)

    i reach 7.30 at hotel, but..it’s already consider very LATE. A lot good buys gone by the time i manage to get into the ballroom (Q is 1 hour..even when i come 7.30am).

    sad, but well i manage to get my friend whatever she wanted =) (she lives in singapore)

    anyway too many people, there’s just no room for scouting everything.. sigh sad

    aesha, i agree. luxasia has a better variety for fragrances. did you guys spray your perfume to test? like i said earlier some perfumes didn’t even smell like perfumes anymore! that’s the downside, luxasia is better in that sense.

    hi everyone….
    went to the sales y’day…..yeah, the crowd was large when i reached there around 6am…..was quite shock to see the queue…..i think the organizer decided to open their doors at 7am seeing the crowd was already that large……things were fine, everyone was queing up accordingly but there were some self-centered & very kiasu ppl who juz push everyone in order to get through when the door was open…..it was already packed like sardine, but these ppl juz squeeze theirself through…..it was a little sickening….
    the items overall are satisfactory…..except bobbi brown items are too little…..by the time i got in at 7+am, all items were grabbed except some concealer…..so, i didn’t manage to get any bobbi brown items…..however, i manage to get some good deal for clinique,mac & estee items…..
    one thing that i’m impressed is that the staff there are really helpful & polite….. although there were many ppl throwing questions, they try to answer all one by one…..including questions like ‘which colour of foundation suit me?’ & ‘how do i apply these?’……i was at the clinique counter when the staffs even explained the benefit of the foundation & which range suit which type of skin…..
    this situation is totally different compare to the staff at the Swatch sales…..i did not hear or see any estee staff being rude to the customers……kudos to all the staff at estee lauder sales……you guys did a great job!!!!!
    i’m really looking forward to go for the next time………..

    yes..luxasia don’t need invi card to enter..just be early otherwise u will be queing for hours…i experienced last year sale in Dataran Hamodal..This year i din’t go.

    ya i agree, the management for estee lauder is awesome. The patrols kept everyone in line, organized the lines up to next room, downstairs lobby –> staircase. If no control..omg i don’t know what will happen. I notice the Sales people there are people from the brands company itself like Alex (Clinique) who does a lot of clinique makeup shops/events. He’s so helpful and cheerful at the event (too bad he couldn’t recognize me due to the barbaric crowds haha)

    There was a card collector as well at 8am, he collected the cards of shoppers at the zig zag waiting line to grand ballroom. Not sure what happens to those who dun have cards, as I though I saw some people who ignore him when he ask for card so he just continue next person. It was just too big of a crowd, If i am him also takut.

    I only had a significant bad xp from sales people at warehouse sale, which is the christian dior warehouse sale last year where the SAs PUSH the lipgloss table forcefully INFRONT and to close a gap at the side. My auntie was Sandwich infront of the DUMB sales person n she still kept pushing the table. I was horrified at this heartless people?! They think ppl so hadap for this lip gloss until hurt customers is it? just bcoz it’s a warehouse sale? CEHHH pORAH

    Was it really luxasia sales? I think that is Metrojaya Perfume Sales which is organise by luxasia wheres the brand & stock is very limited. Usually luxasia will have their own sales like ths one :-

I prefer when people are not bashing each another. mind you i’m not a seller here or anything just someone who missed out on a sales. I appreciate all those who gave feedback on the pricing on stuff they bought so that this will give me an idea if I want to go next year.

    As someone who went for this sale and came away with only 3 items, i must say i agree with BabyG, bintangubodoh and man. I understand if someone genuinely purchases a few items which they later decide they do not need, or which they have extra, but really, to purhcase a whole load with the intention of selling them off at a profit just deprives others of being able to purchase items they really wanted/needed. I’m not sure whether it is illegal to resell the items, but IMHO, by buying from these “re-sellers” we are encounraging them to bulk buy and resell again at other warehouse sales. Just my 2 cents. No bashing intended:)

    Good grief! All this hulabaloo.. for what? A couple of extra bucks off warehouse sale items? Come on lah ppl… We are here to exchange info on sales. If there are some ppl who intend to sell their extra items, let them. I dont see why its illegal. If u feel the price is OTT, u have the right as a consumer to not purchase them. If you really need the item, then no harm in buying them. For example, some ppl wanted to purchase some makeup or perfume for wedding hantaran. Its definitely cheaper to buy it off resellers here than buying it from the counter.. At least we are sure that they are authentic products rather than fake ones we so often see online nowadays… Also, some ppl just simply can’t make it to the sale (ie living too far away, in confinement) so the resellers are kinda helping them out too.

    That said, overpricing the item is also too much. I mean, come on. You bought it for dirt cheap prices and wanna sell them off at nearly off the counter prices? 10-20% i think is still fair, considering the effort to get up early, queue, toll, gas etc, but double the price? Seriously. SnS enthusiasts are alot smarter than u think.

    Methinks Marc said it all. To buy extra and decide to re-sell, even at a small profit is fine, but excessive bulk buying is unfair to the rest of the millions of ppl who attempted to shop at the sale. That said, the early bird really does get the worm so instead of being such sour grapes about it, next time get up earlier and u may get what u want! All warehouse sales are like this so have to get used to it lah.

    I have a suggestion, perhaps SnS can take this into consideration. Since some ppl are upset about ppl reselling their products here, maybe it would be a good idea to set up a forum that allows users to resell their items, u know, sorta like Lelong, eBay, Wanita Melayu and such. That way it wont bother other ppl who just wants info from the comments segment and anti-resellers can always NOT GO look at the forum altogether. And ppl who are really looking to purchase items can easily surf the forum for the things they want. And there will definitely be peace here in SnS land… :)

    So pls ppl… instead of name-calling and fighting, why not try to find a solution? We all want peace here in SnS, rite? huhuhu

    Just my very longggggggggg 2 cents…

    really agree with HaZe here…as a loyal reader of this webpage, i really hope sns can do something about this “tradings” that been going on here. i understand that there are some people who feel sore hearted because they cannot get what they want at the warehouse sales even though they have spent so much time and energy by queuing early in the morning and went all the way to the other side of the town to get things that they really wanted at a cheaper and affordable price. this is why we all go to warehouse sales anyway.

    but if other selfish people who have the advantages of staying nearer or have friends that can help them, i don’t think sns should let them ruining this forum by running resales in here. i understand that there are some people who really want or need the stuffs that they are reselling and do not mind paying the mark-up price but i think this will encourage more and more people to be selfish and i bet sometimes in this near future, this forum will be all for people who wants to make “extra money”. please be more considerate. maybe you can buy a lot if dah ada orang pesan to you in advance but saja2 pegi and beli banyak2 then guna alasan “terlebih beli”?? come on laa people….

    i would like to suggest to SNS to make a new link for all this bussiness women maybe something like the SNSMoms. so all “tradings should be done there, not in this forum.

    On the flipside, i know that some of these resellers are genuinely selling extras that they bought. For example, the coveted MAC lipglass. They come in packs of 3 so if u really need one why not sell the rest off? I myself have bought a Clinique lipstick set that comes in 3′s. From a reseller. I only needed one so it took me almost half a day to get somebody to share the pack with me. However its not an issue for me coz i got it at a good price and I feel that its still worth it to buy. Now, I’m not going back on my prev comments, but all im saying is, SOME of the resellers ARE doing us unlucky ppl who couldnt get invites a favour, however i still frown upon those who take advantage of the situation by putting ridiculous prices when we know the amount they paid are just a fraction of the price.

    That is why i recommended a separate forum where ppl are welcome to re-sell their items. So then ppl who cant make it to the sale can pick and choose which one is a better purchase by comparing prices and quality. After all, we are smart consumers, rite?

    I know most of us, especially ladies, are impulsive buyers. We might grab all those unnessary things during warehouse sales because of the crowd and the tempting price. We just buy what other people buy because do not want to be left behind (kiasu). But, after go home, calculate the bill, rethink and will start regreting buying that much. So try to get rid the extra and sell it to others, of course at a reasonable price, just to cover petrol and parking, but not making profit from it. I try to avoid a lot of warehouse sales just because of this reason. I just can’t control myself from not buying those bargains. sigh…

    I dont understand why some of us have to feel bad or offended when other ppl r selling things they got at sales.
    If some of us didnt get these items when we went for the sale, its our fault. Those ppl who got up early n raced to the sale.
    If their selling products slightly marked up, whats the big deal. Its still cheaper than over the counter right.

    I went to the Shu uemura sale in their office. The fake eye lashes are selling at RM20, loose powder in 3 shades only which are light pink, pink and purple. some eye shadow 4 colors in a pellete selling MR60, mascaras, cleansing oil all sold out except those miniature plus some skincare selling RM60-100 in a pack. some Armani cozmetics.

    the estee lauder sale was even more and more crazier year by year. I went to the sale 2005 at 6.30 was managed to Q first roll which was about number 10, 2006 I went at 7am was about number 30, 2007 went at 7.30 I was Q in front of the lift. This year I went there at 6.15am I was on roll 6, which is about number 100. I heard those stuff said they went to arrange the stock at 4.30am, the ppl already Q there, so scary!! All of the products have price increased since 2007. Clinique loose powder used to sell at RM40 now 60, blusher 30, now 50. Mac special pellette no more seen since 2006, the pellete is not selling in M’sia though. I can’t resist the packaging so I bought 3 pellettes even the price were quite expensive. have anyone bought the pellette as well? those pellette has got some diamond deco on the cover.

    anyone a fan of Ana Sui? I went last year, they had it at a weired place so there were not much ppl. I enjoy the mascara price, expecially the waterproof mascara, RM30 each very worth it as it’s selling RM80+ at counter. The loose powder with golden nice packaging only RM40, eye liner RM20, brighening foundation with SPF RM30, eye shadow RM20-25 not sure, brow powder kit RM30, fragrance ana sui classic 100ML RM100. I am a ana sui fan, sure looking forward to this sale this year.
