u know what guys, i think next time u should just let the toys rolls on ground… step on it… let it breaks
Thanks Jenna, for sharing the pricing of “Transformers at RM80 per box”
But I noticed there are a few other models of the Transformers, anyone knew their prices?
To many who were blur and follow them madness, not all things were discounted much. Eg. starscream was rm80 (retail was Rm119), unleashed spiderman rm50 (retail was rm80, TRU sale was rm35).
I think hasbro purposely threw (pun intended) in some transformers and star wars to create hype and interest. After all, warehouse sales were meant for unpopular items, to clear stocks. Transformers and star wars will always be a collectors’ wet dream, and not suited for such. That is why they tempted the crowd throughout the 2 days, instead of putting them all out on first morning.
i didnt go(mainly becoz of the cracy crowd) but just wanna give my point of view after reading these. I think warehouse sales can be organized in a nicer way if they want to, but definitely not to throw things like that and push each other which is very dangerous especially for ladies & elderly.
Chye, i can’t understand Y u said it was exciting to “push & snatch”. Scary to hear that.
what if those being pushed were your loved ones? Would you still say so??
Chye, no one can really force the ppl, they are still paying for it what. Only thing is, some reasonable measure of control can be applied.
So if each family member queue up, let each of them queue up again to pay. But if any staff notice this, can ask the family member that this is violating the policy so have to return the item. Not everyone will want to embarrass themself like that.
The place may not be big but there are not too many stocks. Mattel had more I think. But the good thing is, it is not hot and stuffy like Mattel or MPH, cos not indoors.
I can’t agree with Jean pertaining to the queing up for the Transformer a box per customer. Some may come in a big group of family and all queue up for the toy. There is really no control over this. It’s a matter of luck whether you get it or not and while stock last. That’s why they are selling them cheap. Isn’t it exciting where you can push and snatch [or rather "grab"]….(ha, ha, ha). But if you go on the last day, they may further reduce the price. Only that some toys may be sold out.
Is it true that at Mattel, they were throwing Fischer Price items to the crowd. I din know cos as usual, I don’t go earliest becos I don’t want to crowd. If only someone took a video of it, then hoo ha! (haha!) But I heard the Fisher Price finish in less than 15 min.
I think same thing here for Transformer la, and only in the Transformer section. But what to do, even after finish oredi, the ppl still wait to see if the staff will throw some more.
Maybe if the stock so limited and the item so coveted, can get the ppl to queue up where each family will only be given 1 box. That means there can only be 1 box of Transformer per payment.
Transformers at RM80 per box
Did anyone here know the price range of Transformers sold during this warehouse?
Appreciate your help in sharing the info, thanks.
I need to compare and maybe buy from Toy n Rus
FYI, I planned early & drove 40km (1 way) to this sale, expecting them to open the gate at 10am (I reached at 9:45am) but surprised, gate already opened (not fair to those who follow the Ad in The Star). There goes my son wish to own a Transformer (main reason why we were there). We waited for about 2 hours but left dissappointed without Transformers or buying anything.
I noticed, (if Hasbro can improve and try to be fair to all, next year), there are a few people who “seem” to know the staff (Vincent) and will get all the goodies from him or it is just a coincidence only.
I heard some people were given the privilege to “preview & buy” the items earlier. Wonder why? Some proudly say they are the vendors to Hasbro and knew some of Hasbro staffs.
To be fair, maybe each person need queue and make a draw of YES or NO just to buy the Transformer and not like “piranha fish” waiting to grab ferociously for the goodies. (we lost as we are more like a tame goldfish)
Also, do not allow boxes to be used to store chosen items (many big boxes blocking the already narrow pathway), each person to be given just a big plastic bag. (this to limit the items bought and avoid those buying to resell at Sunday Market etc)
There are many people who just grabbed what ever on the table and then after some thought, throw it aside later, damaging the packing/dirty, deprived the rest of the toys.
Hope Hasbro staffs will read SNS too.
Anyway, just my 2 cents only.
anybody buy something special???i mean transformer item….i juz get the bumble bee music player…so sad….. wanna go for next sale…..
This warehouse is a good one because it is a GENUINE warehouse clearance.
The items are minimum 50% off. Though I thought some things can be cheaper still, like the Littlest Pet shop at RM10, RM15 & RM20 per box. What’s the original price of these items?
What Playdough items were selling below RM25?
Luckily, I’m not fan of Transformer n I have no boys. The craze is only applicable at Transformer section, selling at RM80/box. I agree that it’s unethical ppl buy to resell. Can ppl really profit from buying fr warehouse n reselling?
But if the stocks for Transformer so limited, can’t blame this throwing business too much. Do you know how thankful some fans are who managed to get a box of it?
Anyway, what’s really unethical are those RESELLERS and ppl selling Estee Lauder warehouse invitation cards. There r also some out there selling samples of branded skincare (no discount) on the net. These ppl are more unethical.
Hi Maggie, the pricing are as below :
Monopoly RM40
Travelling set-Monopoly RM10
Play doh - price range RM10 - 35
wow…thanx 4 da video…reminded me the clip that was shown by CNN long time ago on the small disturbance in KL as if the whole country is on FIRE….was there on D1 and 2 be fair to the organizer, have seen them constantly trying to remind all da ppl to be calm and controlled…even show a tall chinese guy trying to hold back crowd and kept on advicing a pregnant mum…but instead almost got trampled…on the consolation, believe tis behavior is better that our friendly neighbour…do u want to pay RM1.00 for a kopi o at a coffee shop or RM10 at Starbuck…u choose…i noe that i got a bargain for some effort….Transformer Boleh….
Anyone can tell me how much is the opened monopoly and the playdough?
Thanks
Hi momy,
I bought Dora Sit n Spin at RM50.00 last Saturday (evening). Sometimes, they do sell at different price depends on the toys conditions/packaging. I saw the torn Dora “Sit n Spin” on Sunday which they sell at RM30, however, I’m not so sure abt the toys whether its still in good condition as the box were not in good intact…
Sales like this should just follow any regular sales pattern eg. ISETAN, JUSCO, etc.. All stocks are laid out on first come first serve. Imagine, department stores act like these warehouse sales …. throw things in the air for customers to catch, what do you think will happen? Riot? Fights?
Or hold back stocks for next few days …. what will customers do?
hehehe…why must everybody angry with the video???i think it is a fair way for the customer…everbody can have a chance to get the items… hahaha..so..to anybody who is rich enough….u can go to the Toys r’us…but…we want this warehouse sale….u don’t like, its up to you…..because the price is cheaper than SOgo sale!!!!!
Hi AIRA,
I also bought Dora, the SPin ..but i think the price is rm30 only . are u sure it is rm50?
big thanks for the short video. its true i was there last 2 years, feeling like one of the monkey aiming for the banana. although its cheap but the condition of the toys not that good. better go to toys r’us, it u affort to buy or worst case wait for SOGO sale la.
The warehouse sale was not as bad as u all think..the chaos applicable to Starwars & Transformers counter only.
I’m happy with my purchase over Dora, the spin (can’t recall the name) at RM50.00, original price at RM139.90. Too bad, they didn’t replenish the stocks for Playskool on Sunday morning.. Did anybody go on Sunday, after 1.30pm? Just wonder if they did replenish stocks for Playskool?
I am a barbie collector and I go to all mattel sales and I don’t think mattel was any better when I went- they were throwing stuff out too but just the Fisher price stuff. Everything else was neatly displayed. I don’t mind the 1st come, 1st serve thing- its fair on a weekend!- you snooze u lose!
But in any case- Either way ppl will still go for these things no matter how they do it. Sad really but what boils my blood are the scalpers- those who buy like a tonne of stuff and sell outside at ridiculous prices. I wud never pay market price for something I know I saw at a warehse sale no matter how ‘limited’ or how much i want it.. (i question the ‘limited’ bit becos if it was limited it won’t actually be at a warehouse sale- as far as barbies are concerned anyway…)
i went at 3pm, nothing much left, just bought playdough to my nephew
I been to only 1 toy warehouse sale so far, and it was Texchem, last yr ( has been waiting for another one but heard that Texchem has been bought over? ) I managed to grab many many Bionicles, and the satffs were very kind. They even kept back the toys with torn boxes, and refused to sell even though there were customers who asked them to sell.
Although it was very crowdy, many ppl with boxes too, and in a rather small space, it was a “pleasant” experience.
As for this Hasbro, i think i wont go la. I told my husband, if I were there, i would leave, as we dont deserve that kind of treatment. All those people went there to BUY, not not get for free
sigh. such a sad sight.
Went there again today. Arrived at 9.30am and again it already open! (just!) And its not raining. But a bit dissapointed coz no playskool item anymore. So just bought some potatoes and grab some cheap action figure and the Indiana Jones Mug. Heh he 9.50am already left to the dismay of those who comes at 10am. But i’m not that dissapointed today since I did not held my hope too high. Next - Kiko.
in response to the scenario shown in video: ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSING!
went there yesterday at 12.30pm after the padini & network food. though of getting something for my kid.
ya.. i planned the route from padini to network food then hasbro (all in SAlam) then to pensonic next to hushpuppy & last to dksh (all in PJ). whole yesterday was in shopping spree.. spent like what one member said… think i am in money printing business meh..
anyway, back to this hasbro wh sales.. simple to sum it up (from my point of view) waste of time. ya, i might be too late to go but even for the early bird, i don’t see most of them benefited, perhaps only a small crowd got something back.
the way they do it is ridiculous! if this is the only way they can think of, then they can just close the sales within 2 hours.. instead of open it up to 5pm. unless they have the monkey “throw & snatch” game every 3 hours :O but then again, if that is the case, there is no early bird or first come first serve privileges. so.. this is just another unmanaged & disorganize event.
anyway some ppl still sit there & wait, maybe still hoping to have another round of throwing & snatching.
thanks for the video consumer!
i’ve seen a lot of warehouse sales gone ugly for the past 3 years, but never thought of recording it! i mean the sales people there already naik marah if i take pics what more recording! for this i salute u man, u manage to record this without them knowing? (looks like they busy throwing things out)
could be part-timers or the crowd was uncontrollable until they end up like this?
should know better than to give in to stress these people. Better system pls distributors! this could be the dawn of a new waresales frontier!
akta warehouse sale:
clause 1 - no throwing stocks in mid air for people to catch
i’m putting this up my blog for everyone to see!
JUST WATCH THE VIDEO….yes, i agree that the crowd is just like piranha, but i also agree the hasbro trowing the good like thats, cos otherwise the crowd will pushing other like the way happen in mattel.only the people in front just got the toys, that make the people at back keep pushing the people at front even the pregnant lady, they don care.
Dear Consumer
Big thanks for sharing the video, we hope you won’t mind but we have updated the post by embeding the Video in as well. (above)
We are quite shock with what we saw!! Personally we were planning to go today, but our minds changed when we saw the video.
Tks for sharing it! We are sure parents with Children too will not want to go after watching the video.
Tks
SNS
ye loo wat tul2 time nak raye ..macam2 sales..lepas raye mau mkn roti loooo hahaha
hasbro sale is good actually.. managed to get in @9.30am
i bought 10 furby pet (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=furby)@rm10 each = total rm100
at tag is wrote rm199 each.. what a save!
about the throwing, i can understand.. those who stand in front dont want to move backward, so the crowd at back plead to the staff to pass to back, but to be fast, they just throw it to back crowd.. nobody hurt here, they like it because thats the only way they can get the toys..
those who come late cant blame the early-comers, its first-come-first-serve basis, u come early, u get the front space
just my 2 cent
To the hoarders, it’s actually not a ‘hobby’ but ‘business’. You will some of them in Amcorp mall’s flea market and ebay.
Firstly, I was aghast when I watched “Consumer’s” video. Totally unruly behaviour. Notwithstanding the fact that collectors would undoubtedly swarm the scene early in the morning to get their hands on the rare items, but at the end of the day, please remember that its only a H-O-B-B-Y.
This demonstrates the level of civic consciousness of these individuals. Parents, for the extra ringgit you might save in these warehouse sales. I say its better to spend a little bit more and shop in comfort, and without having to risk the safety of you and your children.
That’s right about the opening hours. It’s ridiculous practice from hasbro again.
Morning, they open earlier 9:30 instead of 10. But afternoon, friend told me they opened later, 2pm instead of 1:30pm even though it was raining, letting people stand outside the gate drenched, banging gate and shouting. And hasbro let the customers who stayed behind from morning, to have first dip of the stocks before letting in the afternoon crowd (a tip for tomorrow).
This is what they meant of letting afternoon crowd have chance.
Went there at the dot 10.00am, but people already inside! Well, they say they open the gate at 9.30 since its started to rain. But me and my wife manage to catch some good bargain for our kids. Never bothered to go to board games and transformer/star wars since its crowded there. 10.45 we alredy out. Bought about 12 toys. For us, we satisfied. But yeah, the youtube one nasty ler tgk. But we were not there anymore. Maybe, just maybe we tried again tomorrow. Some of the item we bought my mother in-law ’snatch’ from me.
But, really advice not bringing any kids below 1.2m. They might not even see the table!! Its really crowded and stuffy there. The youtube shows all. But I think that only happen in the star wars/tranformers and board games section!
Make sure you have cover to keep your toys safe. I even heard this one guy told his friend that he stole a rare limited edition star wars action figure from someones box! (I heard the sale price is RM150, so you do the math) he even show us the person he stole it from. (A chinese guy in black t-shirt).
Anyway if anybody goes there tomorrow, i wish you all good luck and be safe. Don’t hope too much. it all comes down to luck……
Thanks for the video, Consumer, that’s one way to show your displeasure
Wonder if any Hasbro staff reads ShoppingNsales?
perhaps they can learn and improve on the sale-mechanism next year?
Consumer, THX for the video. After watching it, i am very very glad i didnt go. I think its inappropriate for the staffs to throw the toys like that, and the buyers made themselves looked so ……… “UGLY”.
This is only toys for sale, imagine if there is famine, and free food distributed …….. my goodness…..
its so ugly ! the customers looked like beggars. I am sorry if i hurt anyone by saying so, but it made me feel they treat customers like ……….. by throwing things to people like that……………
Yeah..I was there in the morning..Wondering why people are so crazy about transformer..Maybe its a hot item but referring the way how they distribute the item..Huh..I can’t imagine how they treat the customer like hungry piranha..
So you prefer to fight throughout the day than see nothing in stock, if late?
I know I don sound too nice la, but I am surprised that u said “that should be the way”, since you were one of the dissatisfied ones.
If they do like Mattel, the ppl will be there since dawn & when d door open, strait away rush in. If in this Hasbro system u got no chance, with Mattel system u lagi no chance. Somemore with Mattel d snatch must be lagi teruk.
I think this idea of not putting out all stocks at one go is quite reasonable and considerate.
I went there at 3pm. was very disappointed that there was nothing much left aside from a few not-so-hot items. i don’t think it lives up to the hype or what you would call a “warehouse sale” considering that they dont have enough items to sustain through the day. wonder what are they gonna sell tomorrow based on the remaining stuff they have left today
for those who intend to go, dont bother. it’s a waste of time. to think that the warehouse sale is being held at a distribution centre, i expected it to be bigger than a few canopies. it’s also disappointing to know that it’s organised by hasbro. so much for living up to the brand
Spent whole morning there, it’s crazy as usual. Venue is ridiculously small and cramped, especially when people are lugging big boxes and standing around waiting for new restocks. Hasbro having no common sense, did not put out stocks at one go, but instead tempt people with occasional restocks by throwing into the crowd. What does this tell the people? Wait wait and snatch. I’m surprised there were no heated arguments or fights. At least the previous Mattel sale was better, once sold out, that’s it… no more waiting.
Can’t they systematically distribute to the front and ask them to move backwards for others to come forward? Do they have to throw them around, like peanuts to frantic monkeys? They mentioned that they can’t put out all stocks at one go, they want afternoon crowd to have some share !!! What share?! At any time, there’s always a mad snatch! If there’s not enough stocks, then too bad for latecomers (that should be the way). Why bother throwing out little scraps sparingly in morning and then in afternoon. Knowingly, people will wait as long as it takes and still leave none for others.
Watch this for a taste of what i meant… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZmLNQot0lY
Also. they should have cleared the people standing around gloating with their big hauls (yes the malay couple and chinese couple with the few big boxes in the middle of the floor, I’m referring to you).
And to those who brought their kids and infants to join in …. (speechless)
If you can tolerate this, you may get your hands on some 50% or more bargains. Monopoly/battleship rm40, mastermind rm25, travel board games (monopoly, connect4, life, sorry, etc.) rm10, some board games were opened or damaged but sold at more discounts, transformers for rm5 (3″) or rm30 (deluxe or starwars crossovers etc) or rm80 (eg. starscream etc) or rm100+ (space shuttle), spiderman rm15 onwards, hulk (most unwanted range), indiana jones, little pony (rm15 and above), little petstore (rm5), playdough, etc.
Went there this morning too. Cloudy weather helped, plus it began to drizzle a bit, before really pouring heavily (by that time, most of us were already inside, rampaging straight through to the tables)
I was slightly disappointed with the selection on sale, not as many Star Wars toys as last year, more Hulk toys (those Hulk fists look quite attractive, but NOT at the RM50 price!) and Indiana Jones (bought the Indiana Mighty Mugg, that’ll look great on my office desk)
There were Transformers toys too, and as usual, crowds were surging forward every time they opened a new carton / box. Staff were literally throwing the figures to the crowd, those with long hands certainly benefited!
Will go there again tomorrow, see what’s left to clean up
hi minly, baarbie is mattel product, so of course la takde. went there in the afternoon after back from DKSH sale.. just buuy a few toys.worth it la…

No TSS, you should say, why can’t organise in one big place, like stadium? kakaka
Ayuk yuk!
Certain week no warehouse sales, this week more than 10 places having
warehouse sales, some in kepong, some in shah alam, some in pj, some in kl,
some selling cloths, some selling electricals, some selling shoes etc and all within this two days how to go???
Why those company cant organised in different week??
Expect lots of Transformers as the movie craze has subsided.
Anyone got the price list? Last time the crowd was delirious, just grabbing everything in sight whenever a new box of toys is opened, then decide later whether want to buy. :>
i guess it is a matter of what you are looking for in the warehouse sale. well we were happy with the stuff we bought from last year. mostly star wars figures. hope tomorrow they have transformers figures and more marvel toys too coz last year there were very few of them. happy shopping to all.
athena… apa yg great about last year… citer lah ckit
my husband has been waiting for this one because last year’s warehouse sale was great. i hope that this year would still be a good one.
Wohoo, time to expand my collection. My hse is nearby. But really, really, really hope this is a real warehouse sale and not another rip-off.
thanks salesfreak.
They do. Called the general line earlier, asked for confirmation. As per last year, they’ll be accepting credit cards as well. Guess they must’ve forgotten to update/amend the advert before it got sent out..(a Trade Federation conspiracy, blame the Sith!!)
hai. rav3. how to give the toys to the children. can i join?
last year they accepted credit cards….how about this year? can anyone please confirm if credit card payments are accepted? thank you.
NOW they announce the sale, so the last minute! At least it’s during the fasting month, just means that I can leave straight away after sahur !
there goes the bank balance for the month….
yep mamaaina & najwa… pokai leh this month.. kalau bole nak pegi semua… tapi memandangkan budget limited, tambah hg minyak masih mahal… lepaskan gian thru’ baca komen2 org je lah kat sns nie…
