Not bad but I dont think its really 50% cheaper. They jacked up the price and then discount 50%.

Anyway, for your laptop, I think its pretty decent. Just the Ati Radeon 2600 might be slower only. Although Nvidia GPU has some problem, it still the fastest money can buy at this moment. If you asked me, I would buy a laptop with Nvidia GPU if you really game on it. CPU really has little effect nowadays on gaming performance. Besides, if you are using it on battery, the cpu wont run at full speed also. It will throttle down as much as possible which makes no difference regardless of cpu speed. You can easily find a used mobile cpu to upgrade as times passes but upgrading a GPU is almost impossible.

    4k with these spec actually not bad…. furthermore, it’s toshiba… so it’s worth….

  3. B3nG says:

the windows tat i mentioned it’s oem version…. u can go to check the lowyat pricelist on9….

  4. kopi says:

    Hi Andre,
I got this at 4k. Do u think is a good deal:

    Intel® Centrino® Duo Processor Technology
    - Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
    - Intel® PRO/Wireless Network Connection 802.11a/g/n
    - 2GB DDR2 SDRAM
    - 400GB (200+200)GB SATA HDD
    - 15.4″ WXGA TFT
    - ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 2600, external 256MB video memory, up to 512MB HyperMemory™

  5. Andre says:

Notebook price drop for 2nd hand is ridiculous. Thats why I would NEVER EVER recommend any of my friends and relatives to get a USED one UNLESS its 50% OFF and only ONE YEAR OLD OR LESS.

If you got a slight idea how computer/laptop evolve, you would know the cycle. PC and Laptop takes a big step every 18months after the previous big release with some minor speed improvement and such in between. Its just like 18months ago Intel released Core2Duo processor and the market goes along with it. 18months later which nearby already, Intel already preparing Nehalem which is the next step forward. Thats is why computer and laptop are getting cheaper as I say. Manufacturers are clearing their inventory and move on the next bandwagon.

I would say its a good deal if you managed to get digital photo frame for RM199 each but not if you are getting a T5750 Core2Duo laptop with X3100 for 1k+. Know what you are buying as laptop price drop is very steep when the next thing is just around the corner. Intel will focus on Nehalem for about 6months after its released before porting it into laptops. So if you can wait for 7-8months, you can start to see new laptops popping up pretty soon.

  6. kopi says:

u guy must go today , cos some notebook is very cheap. i got 1 in 50% off. compare with last pc fair price.

  7. geri says:

its terrible. this is ain’t warehouse sales at all. total disappointment. rm 9 offers were sold out today before noon and claim to have more tomorrow asking customers to go back tomorrow. another ridiculous statement.

  8. Sam says:

Anyone who is planning to go there tomorrow my advice is spend your time somewhere else, this is a disaster of a sale. Most of the items were out of stock and this was on the first day.

  9. Sam says:

anyone got the price list, pls share. thx.

  10. allan says:

Bought 2 notebooks myself. Management admits that most units are x-display. I got mine one new, one display. Seems ok.

999 units are so darn limited they all sold out by the time you ask. Same goes with 699 projector. Most cheaper units are sold within 2 hrs. Left all the expensive ones.

They also claims that tomorrow got no more cheap units. All are there today already. So, that’s it. If you didn’t get today, you might not find any tomorrow.

ninie, what’s left are all range from 3399 to 8999 units.

However, they keep quite a lot of rm9 offers for tomorrow. A list of things on rm9 - wireless mouse (2 types), kensington locks, 1gb flash drive, label-flash dvdr and some other stuff which sold out by the time I get to that booth.

  11. bernard says:

it is from rm999 onwards. The cheaper ones are without softwares. Many models was on sale. Didn’t pay attention to the notebook section. Sorry.

  12. ninie says:

    bernard,

how was the price range for notebooks??

  13. Bernard says:

was there this morning at 9.30am. there was around 10 ppl in queue already. amazingly, everyone else who came after me started queuing in line. they only opened the gate exactly at 10am and by that time, there was around 100 ppl.

was aiming for a digital photo frame and i found it. only 3 units and i bought 2 for RM199 each. Price list showed market price was RM700. Not sure how true this is.

the rm9 section was a mess. but after 30 mins, the management did set up some proper control. rm9 items limited to one per person. i got the hardcopy price list but no scanner at home.

notebooks was selling like hot cakes. wat else…..i think that’s about it.

  14. allan says:

    Cher,

This is PC related goods only. No home appliance. I was going to look for LCD TV, but found out later it is only PC stuff.

  15. cher says:

do u have cheap toshiba air con?whats the cheapest?

  16. allan says:

To answer most of you guys questions.

    1) This warehouse sales has lot of goodies, including brand new notebooks, flash drive, memory cards, etc.
    2) All of them are still in warranty period, but be warned that older models with 3 yrs warranty does not mean it still carries 3 yrs.
    3) All models follows exacts what it sales on Teledynamics websites - they are sold AS IS, with or without OS.
    4) Take note that newer models have less discounts - ex. unit selling at SRP 2599 is sold at around 2200. But shops mostly sell them at 2499. And so on. Older models are with big discounts. 2 year old models are sold at more than 30% discount! Some even 70%!

So, be there early. It’s gonna be crazy sales!

P/S: I got internal source for this one. :-)

  17. jaf says:

Eh, can get genuine Windows operating software for RM250? Which shop?

There is a difference when you use genuine software. If under RM300 for operating system, i can consider.

Even when you use genuine anti virus, it’s not the same as the free ones, even the good ones. I use Kapersky n it’s good. For about RM100, I got 3 pc of this software to install into 3 different computers, good for 1 year. It’s worth it.

When it comes to pcs n related stuff, we go to one guy who owns a shop we know we can trust. Reliable n give us good deals.

  18. jaf says:

If you want to buy from Low Yat, u must know what you are doing, maybe u r good in computers, not for the clueless types (unless it is something cheap like pirated software). Cos after sales service is not there, what I heard.

  19. deena says:

cheaper in lowyat unless u r were conned (my hubby told me, salespersons always bragged when they managed to con ppl of rm1k or higher-which i guess happened many time…my hubby got office there btw)..

  20. i think it still exp compare to PC fair or buying from lowyat…

  21. vivian says:

does warehouse sales provide installment package??????
    thankss

  22. aliafzal ebrahimpour says:

    dear sir
hello, would you announce the quantity because the people want to come over there then they should know.

    with best regards
    ebrahimpour

  23. deena says:

n after-sale customer service is provided

  24. deena says:

software installation is not a prob…but the real prob when buy fr sale like this (inl. PC Fair: actually esp fr PC Fair n the likes)- if u got problem later on with ur hardware, it might be difficult to repair/exchange unless u make sure b4 buying- it got warranty etc..bring computer ‘expert’ along if u want to purchase one…

  25. ira says:

for home use no need to have license maa.. even if you buy from lowyat, they just install with pirated software. just get a rm5 or rm10 installer cd and you can get loads of software. you can partition as you like and have any software that you like. :) no point of paying for the windows or ms office, etc. if for office, then you’ll need license to avoid problem with authority.

  26. B3nG says:

how can i get there? bus? without windows is not reli a problem, u can go n buy one at lowyat… besides tat, window is actually quite cheap now… rm250 can get a windows vista home premium….. somtimes it’s cheaper by getting the windows on urself…

  27. Jasmine says:

Does anyone knows whether the projector and notebook bought at this warehouse sale has 1 year warranty or not?

  28. Andre says:

Is this the sales of their used laptops?
Anyone ever been to one before?

  29. b|ur says:

Do they have additional charges when you pay with credit card instead of cash? Thanks in advance =)

  30. lyn says:

Does anyone know whether the notebook is installed with Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic Edition OR no operating system installed?
No use buy a notebook during the warehouse sale if no operating system installed.

  31. tokan88 says:
