   yesterday 19th feb 2009, I make a phone call to Xenri Japanese Buffet to make reservation for the coming saturday. I call this number 03-2078 6688 from afternoon until 9pm. total i call is around 20-30 times but nobody pick up the phone. when the phone no one answer, it ask me to leave message and my hp number and will call me back but the mail box is full. nobody pick up the damm phone and the mail box is full. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS? CAN SOME ONE REPLY ME?

   Don’t bother calling, a friend managed to get through and she was told that all slots were already taken up. This sounds awfully similar to Tenji. I was at Tenji, the phone rang, the staff heard, but they did not bother to pick up. Seems like they only entertain walk-in bookings. I suspect this is the case with Xenri as well. We must start boycotting these outlets with poor services.

   really? i jus wanna call them for booking oso cant get through wtf..if they dun entertain telephone bookings, why on earth they advertise it wit de phone number..call to make reservations summore..shit man..damn idiotic la these bunch of babarian doing business extremely poor service..idiots..

   what is that?? are they launching something or spelled LUNCH wrongly? if fail to even spell LUNCH, what else to expect!!! LOL

   called this few days during office hours, dunno how many times got more than 30 times, no one pick up the calls and all go into mail box, the funny thing is the mail box is full. v v dissapointed with the service, i will not dare to try their food

   Since they might have printed the word “Launch” wrongly, maybe we should also presume the telephone number printed there is also wrong?

   Or…maybe this company is very “kind” and hire disabled people and coincidentally all of them have the same kind of disability = hearing loss.

    I tried the xenri dinner set before.Nice food and nice environment. I know this promotion last week and straight away called for booking. Luckily i manage to book on the 1st sunday of March. Yesterday my fren called again and said all the date fully booked for lunch and dinner.

    Since the buffet been fully booked and they refuse to pick up the phone (which I friend did tried during dinner time earlier), I would like to suggest SNS to DELETE this post since it does nothing but wasting people time and money in making all those calls that never get answer!

    last few days i called several times, finally manage to get them, answer still Fully booked, i have been told that they keep on receiving call even after they hang up each call, non- stop throughout the day, they asked me to leave email, and if they extend or any other promotion, they give me first hand information and priority to make reservation, so ,let see how…

    My fren tried asking his fren to walk in book Tenji for us but the worker say CANNOT oni phone reservation…
    Well, I think Xenri is much better than Tenji thou, because they did pick call unlike Tenji…

    And Tenji if you getta call up, they will not tell u is bully booked…
    Because I went to Tenji is not fully occupied at all…

    With this kinda restaurant,it would be nice to have a few branches to handle the over-whelming response. Or chane their phone recording to ‘sorry, for buffet lunch and dinner promotion,we are fully booked.Thank you’ at least we don’t have to keep calling so many times. Know it is a very frustrating but I can’t help but notice the postings here sound ‘americans’ especially..bad ones, must use fowl language. We are Malaysians, don’t have to resort to use of such language to express ourselves. Doesn’t reflect very well on our culture.

    Just called. I’m not sure the above conditions happened to everyone, but I got a pretty good fast response from them. Although the answer quite disappointed (fully booked for the whole March), still glad that they improve their service.

    it realy fully book at all until the last day of promotion…i have make few time reservation stil no available…it realy worth to try…i think they not pick up the phone due to they realy full and cant take any reservation already…they also hard to do one…fully book oso kena scold,din pick up oso kena scold…gv them sometime to solve it…the food there realy not bad…

    I actually went there early to try walk in last Sunday. they really full house that i only manage to put my name under waiting list, my frens and i actually walk out cause they said no cancelation on reservation, untill nearly to 2pm, they make a call to informed me that there is table available for turnover, since we havent take our lunch yet, we turned back and try, although only left 1/2 hour, but varieties really worth of the money paying for. impress with their appertiser, individual serving with nice glassware, fresh oyster, sashimi display in a giant boat, everything fresh fresh fresh… quality food, service good as we thought they will just ignnore me in the waiting list cause it had been sometime, but they do call us to offer us the available seat, i think they are trying very best to give good customer service

    I am doing this from my iPhone..
    no more seats for today, Sat and Sun too.. in fact the whole month of March.. full for all weekends..
    so you guys can forget it..
    caught a glimpse of the interior, nice and cosy..
    too bad..
    now, gonna walk over to Jogoya…
    sigh…

    i went for lunch at RM31.60 nett per person after 50%disc, i spend much more if i dine at Sushi King.

    Just tried the dinner last night. Better than Tenji very much. For anyone who really wanna to try it, maybe can consider to book for April & May 2009 with 20% discount. Cheers…

    yes, much better than those Taiwanese chains like Jogoya or Tenji, these 2 are like food factories.
    This is a more fine dining experience..

    at first, when I went in, I thot is was rather smallish with a little more than 120 seats, some in rooms. The buffet line-up is also small but later the waiter (very good service) handed us a menu with 17 choices that is not on the buffet table but is inclusive in the price that we pay. I saw my favourite Teppanyaki Beef (best best in town, cooked just right, medium rare) and also another fav.. Tempura Saft Shell Crabs… yummy….

    the usual raw fish is there, salmon, clams, tuna, white fin, prawns, scallops, raw oysters.. yes.. yes. California rolls, I had soft shell crabs hand roll .. luv them.. Sukiyaki wt beef, very good, Salmon fish head in Kimchi soup, very delicious, they even have a whole big size cooked Salmon and the server was dishing it out..
    and, just too much to write.. a whole array of cooked food as well, cooked cheese oysters… the fired rice is good, noodles too,
    oh yes, salad bar wt small cute whisky glass of salmon wt black fish roe.. heavenly.. lobster salad… and many more..
    desserts have cut fruits like Kiwi, Watermelon (yellow n red), ice cream (the chocolate mint is fantastic..) ohhhh.. I never like Mochi but these are great.. top top nice… must try…
    drinks are included (self service), Nestea, juice, etc.. green tea too..
    aiyah… MUST GO lah..

    all in for Sunday dinner he paid less than Rm 75 or around there, I din pay, he did..

    btw, the 20% is only given to those poor poor souls who physically go to the restaurant and cannot get in due to it being FULL, they are so nice to offer the 20% for them to come back and visit them in April.
    Nope, you cannot phone in a book wan..

    we went in 7pm, saw about 15 people outside trying their chance.. left at 8.30, the same people are still waiting to get in.. poor hungry people.. quite a few eaters have aledi finished their meals but still sitting and chatting while there are people standing outside waiting.. so u know what to do ah..?..

    I try many many times b4 the promotion starts, try to call 30-40 times, different days, no one pick up the calls, nvm, go in to voicemail, ask u to leave a msg, but mailbox is full. wat kind of service………. better dun put up the promotion if no one will pick up the phone. at least pick up the phone let us fully booked or left the msg is fully booked, so we not need to try n try again, like v stupid.

    Hi, ladies and gentlements, you don’t have to go there. Right now Tenji at Mont Kiara is having promotion at RM49.90++ during weekday until 31/3/09. Detail at http://www.tenji.com.my look for blog. Quite nice, I went there twice already. I’m the VIP member. Don’t join as member because the discount voucher of RM1,000 is useless, unless you are willing to pay RM77++ for lunch and RM88++ for dinner. RM50 discount voucher can be used only when total bill is RM200 and above. It can’t be used during promotion period and they are all expired in 6 month time. Tenji always have promotion since it started the business. For VIP member the bill is discounted by 5%. But it is just a small discount.
    By the way, if anybody want to have my RM50 discount voucher, I can sell it at a lower price. My email address is guan@nstl.com.my.

    We called many times for booking, but no body answer the phone. Finally, we just go there as walk in guest. The foods normal only… actaully we are quite disappointed…. DONT GO THERE !!!!!

    I went there today…d staffs r very helpful n keen on serving us..d food is ok..but the beef teppanyaki is not nice..its overcooked..v can order some a la carte dishes..n they serve d ala carte dishes quite fast…unlike tenji(have to wait for 1 1/2 hrs for a few morsels of beef teppanyaki!!)

    I did call more over 40 times around 8pm on the 2nd day of the ad; ringing but no one pick up. I tried again next morning, asked to leave message but memory full. Call again in noon, a guy rudely told “finished, no more”.

    Restaurant offers Japanese cuisine should learn some basic Japanese politeness.

    Why dont u try Yaki Yaki, it’s Jap and BBQ buffet, next to Low Yat. I called and they picked up phone. Also 50% discount so ard rm42 after tax. Promo everyday and every meal 50% off

    I went to Yaki Yaki last week. I think first and last. Terrible traffic over there. For some prefer fine Japanese cuisine you might regret (Malaysianize). I like their Ramen’s texture but I’m puzzled when they asked me Chicken or Tom Yam soup!! They do have Black Sesame Icecream. Their charges is half of normal price plus 15% on normal price. Tel: 03-2142-8111. They have Tatami rooms as well.

    Forget this kinda promotion. I’ve called more than 30 times. I fed up and walk-in with the hope of dining there, they inform us it’s fully booked. And I paid RM 5 for the parking.
    It’s like, weather you like it or not, you’re gonna pay the parking. DAMN!

    If next time they do this kinda promotion, I’ll kindly ignore and go to saisaki or Jogoya.
    I am willing to spend rather than eat lemon!

    The food sucks. Lousy services. I wonder why some people even bother to call more than 30 times. LOL! Nothing special about the food. Is not like the plate is made of gold. Salmon still taste like salmon. LOL!
