  2. Penny says:

I missed the last bargain but looking forward to this one!

  3. ee says:

  4. dalyna says:

OMG! cant wait! I went last year..damn worth it! i bought like d whole series of Gossip Girl series, Clique series and It Girl Series which r bestsellers! rm15-rm20 each book! damn worth it! im sooooooooo goin’!!hehe

  5. Andrienne says:

i thought the ‘Joanna’ said it could be another 2 years before they have another distributor sale? it’s been 6 months+ only x.x

  6. Joanna says:

hi ee – sorry, but MPH vouchers can only be used at MPH Bookstores ;)

hi andrienne – you’re right, we’re having our whse sale sooner than expected! unfortunately we’re not able to determine exactly when our sale will be..whether it’l be in a yr’s time or 2 or in the next 6 mths as the decision is management’s. however, we’re glad that it’s happening soon so that customers can take advantage of the great bargains in lieu of the curent economic situation ;)

  7. Sylvia says:

I’m going! Yey! I went last w/h sales and spent like rm200 for as many as 20 books! And best of all can get tax exemption. I took the Shopaholic series and my hubby took Terry Pratchet series.

  8. Sylvia says:

Oh just to mention that their pricing may differ for the best seller paperbacks. So becareful of the price when you pay as I remembered the price published in The Star and online for ‘Marley & Me’ (and other books) was RM18 but when I went there it is RM20. What la, RM2 also want to ‘cheat’ us. I hope this year they won’t repeat this. But overall, it’s still good bargain worth checking out.

  9. comicbuff says:

Do u have any clearance on COMIC from USA????

  10. comicbuff says:

Do u have any clearance on COMIC from USA???? Pls anyone who have been there last year, did u see any comic pls reply

  11. Honeylime says:

    Wooohooo….definately goinggggg

  12. shoppingera says:

books here are darn cheap. will be there definitely. me and my son are so waiting for this!

  13. Andimazlan says:

Me and my friend never fail going to this MPH sales except the October 2008. I think the best one was at the Dewan Kelana Jaya. Please MPH organizers, install more fans or air cooling system, or better air circulation please. And more important one, don’t make us feels cheated. I know you give good discount for kids and cooking books (up to 70%), but what am I going to do with kids books and cooking books anyway? We hope there’s more new book this time with good prices. I hope i can find any books about Arsenal Football Club or 1000 Movies You Must See Before You Die. Question: Why don’t you just put 80%-90% discount on all items that you sell? Sure clear maa… it is MPH CLEARANCE SALES, isn’t?

  14. Nadia Othman says:

I want to get the whole set of Dan Brown’s.
If there’s any la.. Can’t wait. Have been to the Book Fair at PWTC yesterday but the MPH Distributor booth only give 10% discounts.

    Waiting for the warehouse sale..=)

  15. Faizah says:

Aha.. Thanks Nadia for the input. 10% really?

Despite the current Book Fair, I think this warehouse sale is still a must for booklovers. Went there during their last sale at this venue, despite the humid and dusty atmosphere, I am still SOO GOING TO BE THERE!

  16. June says:

I couldn’t find any of Terry Pratchet books at the MPH warehouse sales in March, what a HUGE dissapointment.
I hope I’ll be lucky this time around

  17. Nadia Othman says:

    You are welcome..

Yes, only 10%.. That’s why I refrain myself from buying there.
There’s a booth called Sleven I think at the Book Fair,
they sell international mags at the price of RM5 each. Some titles are such as XXL,Marie Claire,Cars, hobbies and crafts mags. Bought 4 mags there.

  18. VC says:

Now THIS is the REAL MPH warehouse sale with books at real low prices, as low as RM20 for new arrivals even, not like the one in March 2009 at the old Lim Kok Wing building where everything was messy, queues were miles long, limited selection, not great prices, etc.

For this one, be prepared to go crazy as there’ll be tons of books on sale (if it’s anything like the last one : )

  19. Shirley says:

Hi comicbuff – DC Comics range will be on sale as well as selected manga titles at very good prices… (-:

  20. ALEXA says:

If by train, which is the nearest train stop to TH Building?Asia Jaya or Taman Jaya?how much is the cab fee from either of the station to TH Building?

  21. Joanna says:

hi sylvia – the price published in The Star for Marley & Me was RM18 because if you bring that write up page, that’s the extra discount you’ll get. if you don’t have that page, then the price is RM20. hope that clears things up! we’re going to have the same promotion specially for StarTwo readers again….different titles…so lookout for it on the 24th & 28th April!

  22. patricia says:

I thought MPH just had a warehouse or clearance sale in old Lim Kok Wing building? Why so soon another sale? Is it going to be regular?

  23. Andimazlan says:

    ALEXA,
There’s no train station nearest to TH Building (the nearest is MidValley, if u insist).
Even LRT Station Asia Jaya or Taman Jaya still further away from this TH Building.
To give you the best identical spot near (but not to near la)to this venue is Hospital University or University Malaya Main gate, or KFC beside UM. Take cab from here ask the driver to go to Colgate-Palmolive Factory or F&N Factory. TH Building is just opposite to these factories. And i’m sure there will be banner or bunting at the roadside. Just follow these banner. Tambang will not more than RM3 if start from KFC. See u there.

  24. LY says:

Do you close sharp at 7pm? I am really keen on going but i can only make it on the 28/4 and 29/4. I finish work at 5.30pm. If i leave sharp, i will probably reach there only by 6.15, latest 6.30pm. Will there be enough time for me to browse through the books?

Any additional benefits like book vouchers given for CIMB credit card holders?

  25. jojo says:

    hi joanna,

it will be probably the complete set of IT girl series? what the range of price?

  26. AP says:

    patricia,

The old Lim Kok Wing building one was held by MPH Bookstore (retailer). The coming warehouse sale is by MPH Distributor (pemborong type). They are two different entities altogether even though the names are almost the same.

  27. mall princess says:

Alexa, I take the lrt. Get off Asia Jaya. Got cabs in front. Ask them to take you to the address. Its the fastest route. Tmn Jaya slightly further away.

  28. June says:

Would anyone know how’s the parking there–enough parking bays and how much?

  29. ALEXA says:

it means that i get the cab opposite of the station?
omg!!cant wait to go for it..hope it’s worth it..gonna complete my collection on cecilia and sophie(hope its much more cheaper)..

  30. Mary Wong says:

Yes you easily can get a cab there. You will see them once you have left the LRT station. It is not that far so it should be not that expensive (but don’t be surprised if they ask RM10 or so :) . Parking is quite hopeless near the MPH warehouse. You can only park along the road which is already very full with cars of office people etc. You might have to park far away and walk a bit. But no costs involved! At least that is a plus. The sales in the MPH warehouse are quite pleasant. It is not in a closed environment so you can breathe easily! Let’s hope it is not so hot then as in the past week. Happy book shopping everyone!

  31. Reader says:

Does anyone know if they sell Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth? And how much?

  32. ALEXA says:

Will there be Little Black Dress Books up for sales and how much?

  33. ariana says:

how about the parking space there? comment pls…

  34. synical says:

I finish work at 6 pm and I made it there in under 20 minutes. (more or less)

It’s not a lot of browsing time I admit, but it forces you to be efficient, haha.

  35. must go.!!…went MPH last month at old lim kok wing , kelana jaya…so cheap for the books…Kinsella’s series just only RM24 ..really worth it…this time im gonna borong all my fav books… =)

  36. Kylie says:

ariana –> if you don’t mind paying you can actually park opposite mph itself..revently they have just opened a new open air car park area which quite convenient..

  37. bb19 says:

i dun tink it’s worth to go…will be spending more than necessary…besides even the latest books are downloadable from internet nowadays if u know which website 2 go to (legal ones)…

mph is just trying to make more money since economy is not that good…m sure it will earn alot from these warehouse sales coz paper is so cheap…

  40. kyra says:

bought like 9 books in total for RM 110 only!!!

  42. ttk says:

Tya, LP books are available. Prices ranging from RM60-85, editions around year 2007. However, if you look around the bins (not the travel section), you might find some old LPs for RM10. Bought France and Russia for RM10 only, editions 2006! :)

  43. Chitra says:

went for the sale around 9.30..there is a parking just opposite the wh and the charge is RM 1-00 per hour..Tya..I did not see any lonely planets books there..children books was not really a bargain i would say..well I bought:-

    (a) Eckhart Tolle’s- A new earth-RM30-00
    (b) Marley and Me-the paper back version which only left one for RM18-00
    (c) Disney Bed Time stories for Rm5
and few kids books for my children.

I also got 2 free book (as my husband also took one) which is Judith Mcnaught novel which was priced at RM20-00 and another paper back novel titled Remember When which was priced at RM40 at the WH.

  44. SylviaEver says:

Anyone saw these following books?? Can tell me the prices? TQ
    1) Twilight
    2) Harry Potter full series
    3) Arts and Craft eg origami, card making

  45. Sharmila says:

Is it a worth deal what other kind of books. Is receipes book there.

  46. misya says:

    just came back frm there..
definitely worth to go but do browse wisely as you could find much cheaper book with the same title at other boxes..
i just bought marley n me – hardcover only for RM20 (very2 good condition)
after digging some boxes..which i find it’s the same price as paperback..
and some other books..8 books for only RM120..
for meg cabot’s series also..i managed to get RM3 for one..some of them are RM5-RM9..

    all the bestseller book you can get range RM24 n above..(etc : twilight, sophie’s, cecelia’s, jodi’s series)

but..i also realized, the price are quite increased compared to the one held last year in October..but overall, worth to go even though its hot..

  47. sen says:

hi. is anyone here going to the warehouse sale and can buy for me the princess diaries series? i can’t go there because i’m now at my grandparent’s house in kedah. =( i’ll transfer the payment for the book including postage fee to ur account. let me know if anyone can help me ok? thanx!!

  48. Kylie says:

    Hi ladies,

Just came back from the warehouse sales.

noticed that the price for a certain books had gone up. I bought the Cecilia Adhern book last year for RM20 and now they are selling it for RM24.

Do look out for the price changes as some is a bit more pricey compared to the previous sales.
Twilight series is around RM114 for the whole set(paperback edition) and RM224 for the hard cover edition.

There are a few recipe books that is worth looking at. Women’s Weekly recipe book is a good buy too.Going for RM15. Romance books are going for RM20 each if anyone is interested. Well as usual if you have the patience to dig around then I assure you that you will be able to find some good books.Be prepared with water and also wear light clothes as the weather is really hot.

  49. hanis says:

even its hot still got a lot of fan…n the parking fees quite reasonable….
    really2 worth to go…twilight series also very2 cheap….

  50. zuhaini says:

my gosh! i’m so looking forward to go! :)

  51. Malapetaka says:

Went to the same MPH sale last year! It was FANTASTIC, came back with so many books. Bought the Complete Chronicle of Narnia in paperback for 9.90…. A definite must go for any bookworm!!!! See you guys there!!!

  52. stll says:

    malapetaka,

do u mean the whole set for 9.90 or one book for 9.90?

  53. cloudycoo says:

    dear mary,

BIG parking lot is available just across the road.. no more jams on the road like previous.

Lonely Planet is inside the warehouse and are current editions less 30% from the normal retail price. If really want cheap – go for the bins.. old and probably outdated editions

Comics – tons and tons of it.. people buying by the boxes… superman, batman, justice league, dc, marvel, manga.

IT girls series whole series – right inside the warehouse on the wall shelves…around 30% less or more i think

a Lot of hardcover children teen titles at 50% less like magycian, alchemist, pendragon.. more for collectors, the books are still in good condition and jacketed some more.

    tin tin titles rm20 each
    dr seuss – rm 10-11 i think

  54. paladin says:

was scouting the warehouse for about 30 mins before noon; decided to push off to a healthier environment. seems to be quite a number of coughing going about. wasn’t entirely my lot though. hardly a sign of any coffee table hard cover books. plenty for the kids though… rushing for time? save yourselves the troble and pay for a parking space.

  55. ida says:

can anybody pls guide me how to get there by public transportation? is it easier if i go by train and stop at universiti, then get there by cab? how much is the cab fare from university to the TH building?

  56. valerie says:

take putra lrt to asia jaya then take cab there…easiest n fastest…

  57. frank says:

Been there today. Is OK but still uncomparable to popular’s last 90% sale which was dirt cheap.
Some books are cheap but some are just with a normal discount. Well book lovers can go but not for
book sellers as the come with a trolley and trucks like what I saw in the popular sale the last time.

  58. ain says:

is there any offer on harry potter books and roald dahl’s?

  59. CMY says:

Why i couldn’t find those winnie the pooh stories, bed time stories, jungle book, disney stories selling for RM 5 and pricess diaries seire for RM3 ?…..i just saw there r some hard cover stories selling for RM 7 in front of the cashier counter….

  60. Rooney says:

ii) Star Two readers will enjoy further marked down prices on 28 selected titles. Lookout for the highlights on 24 & 28 April in The Star.

Did anyone saw the highlight yesterday? I flipped through the whole paper and only saw the ad ? What else is there ?

  61. misya says:

    frank..
i definitely agreed with you..Popular’s warehouse is the best..i still remember me grabbed all those 90% books on the 1st day..there are such a very good condition..compared to MPH, they still not much marked down even though the condition of the book already yellow. hmm..but still worth to go for books lover..

    rooney..
yes, i agreed with you. i only saw the ad on yesterday’s paper. i couldn’t see any highlights like the one on 24. is anyone saw it? maybe we both miss out?

  62. Reader says:

Chitra .. did u buy Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth or Power of Now? Coz i went ytd evening & I ask the MPH staff for A New Earth, but they say don’t have, only got Power of Now. Didn’t probe whtr it was sold out or just not on sale though.

  63. cocoabutter says:

    Definitely will go tomorrow…. =)

  64. vanessa says:

r the free books for sun readers still up for grabs??

  65. babyblue says:

    CMY,
those books are in the boxes at the far end…. must search for it…..

  66. helena says:

got there today! luckily got parking lot, across the road. i bought the amber spyglass rm10 only. eragon and eldest each rm10 only. Everyone was grabbing the Twilights books, which is less rm10 than that the normal price, still worth it. If you go behind and treasure hunt, got cheap books. bought pocket dictionary rm3.00 only!!!

  67. Pinky says:

Dear all, i m targeting on those advertising graphic book, anyone manage to see? i m from
Ipoh, was thinkin going to the sales to find out…s..better find out here first before drive for long journey. TQ…much much appreciate

  68. cloudycoo says:

wah today some more new books come out. more phonics and also more new cookery titles. Haven’t seen these books before in the bookstores.

also there are tons of new RM3 to RM10 books in the boxes, mostly children books n lots of good large format fiction titles. Only thing is needed, patience to go thru the boxes.

Best of all, hitz was out there giving freebies…

Pinky – don’t think i see graphic book, however, must be so many other books you might be keen to go for !

  69. sue says:

is there local cooking/baking magazines like Y3K cookbook on sale? Thanks

  70. vanessa says:

got my free book compliments from the sun this morning!! but guys hav to go early …eg 8am or so…got a biography of Obama printed april 2008 for free!!! hav to go early or else not much choices left..

  71. pinky says:

    dear cloudycoo , thanks for your info…actually i m target on those books..is ok…thanks alot…happy shopping..btw..i go zara sales..hehhe

  72. Alz says:

went to the sales around 10 am… very hot… selection-wise IMHO ok lo but organisation of the books was very good. A few years ago when i went there, the book was all over the places, at least now they put it up in nice shelves ready for browsing customers. Lots of kids book this time. Overall quite a few good buys esp the recipe books…

  73. May says:

Hi hi … I went this morning and it was just great! Love the kids’ variety, just could not resist the temptation to buy. Read about my reviews here … http://ideasandreviews.com/mph-distributor-warehouse-sale

  74. cloudycoo says:

wah pinky, i want to go zara sale…

dear sue – i think i saw some bilingual cookery books and tons of baking cookbooks.

harry potter i think behind the warehouse at the MPH bookstore section.

  75. Bunny says:

Was there on the 1st and 2nd with my wife. Lots of collections and at very very nice price. A definite must for book lovers!!

  76. Ann says:

Being scared away by the numerous complaints of wareshouse sales, I was still urged to come to the MPH warehouse sales for the sake of my kids.. It was a fruitful exercise, and my family bought books equivalent to our 2 years of purchases.

More than 50% were kids and teen based books,
Discounts were from 30% to 70%.Some paperback books were available at RM1, RM3, RM5…

Large parking available opposite the warehouse at RM2/entry.. it gets hot after 11am, so early brids are more comfortable…books were quite neatly arranged, with racks inside the warehouse

Well done, organisers.. looking forward to your next warehouse sales!!!

  77. AP says:

Lots of variety of children books especially. Some are still expensive even after so-called discount, but some are cheap…you really have to spend time to search thru boxes of books laid on the floor for good deals. Those books displayed on make-shift tables and shelves do not have very good discounts. For review, click my name or see http://juanorandmommy.blogspot.com/2009/05/buying-books-for-juan-or-at-mph.html

  78. DustAllery says:

I went there on Sunday in the morning with my hubby, sad enough, both of us came back empty-handed.

We can’t stand the dust all around the warehouse, even the books are dusty.

We browsed for 1 hour and I am particularly looking for Harry Potter full set but MPH distributor told me they don’t distribute for Harry Potter :( Neither at the bookstore section. Disappointed la, cuz last year they sold Harry Potter set but that time was not completed yet.

  79. url says:

mskmdro- Thank you, ivzhtsn. Great site.

  80. Vasily says:

    Yo Yo super post

  81. Range Finder says:
