i am not a fan of lewre shoes, anyway it’s made here in malaysia and i just don’t understand why they overpriced the shoes. do look out for brands like jwest, jane shilton, fiorucci etc, some of their shoes are cheap too
shall i go? wanna get those comfortable to wear shoes…
this is not their warehouse sale rite? do anyone know when is the warehouse sale?
sometimes though it’s not a warehouse sale, they would still slash off prices as these days a lot of brands are not saleable due to economy slowdown. i’ve been lewre warehouse sale quite some time back, if i am not wrong it was in shah alam near to the this factory csr (manufacture sugar)…
been there the last time…. didn’t buy anything though.. blogged bout it @ http://shericheryi.blogspot.com/2008/12/shopping-we-go.html
any idea how much the slashes is like?
hi mimi, do you mind let me know your budget for walking shoes? tks.
bath: i agree wif u
juz to share my experience..i used to go one clearance sale at MAS building near bkt bintang.one of the booth selling Lewre shoes..and everyone was crazy trying and buying it..i wanted to buy also, coz at that time i tot it is an imported brand.(nvr heard it b4).i grabbed one of the displayed pump shoes that cost rm89..it stated there, made in malaysia..daaa….i’m not underestimate m;sian product..i do shop m’sian product..
since lewre shoe is quite pricey- better juz buy vincci..affordable & worth buying..made in malaysia tooo
hi binx, yeah lewre is made in malaysia and i do find them overprice it, his boss surname is lew…. (chinese chap). vinncci has a lot of shoes but if you don’t want to bump into people having exactly the same pair, then brands like fiorucci (italy), jane shilton (uk if not mistaken), jwest (not sure from which country), sketchers (us) just to name a few carries nice shoes be it for work, casual, walking.. if you have more budget then you go head to aldo (but these days their heels are just too high) and nine west (still have nice range and some of the range has too high heels) there are a couple of brands that are available in metro like ah forgot starts with the letter “R” is nice too, these days i see a lot of girls going crazy over guess shoes… it’s really not worth it… let me know if you need help… tks.
i bought 3 pairs in last year sales.(shah alam) atRM50 a pair, but i can say tat is not a comfordtable at all.
Lewre shoes has very short life span, i guess. Bought few last time, not lasting.. just my 2cents and now seems to be overpriced !
bath,
if sales then must less than RM100.i prefer nine west and primavera but my freinde keep telling me that she bought from Lewre and so comfy. just is just different opinion as some here mentioned that it is not comfy and short life span…
I am a size 11. Anyone knows whether they sell my size at this warehouse sale? The only other place i know that sells size 11 is Princess. Sigh……
I think Mr lew`s sifu was Jimmy Choo… thats why the pricey part
i bought a pair of lewre shoe @ mid valley for my wedding shoe.. Price RM250.. For the first time, i try, ok.. when i used it on my wedding day, OMG, ITS REALY PAIN!!!.. Regret bout it!.. This is the first & last time i buy lewre shoe.. SORRY, i rather buy VINCCI shoe or VINCCI+ shoe!!!
hi mimi, okay i will take note and if i happen to see any brands that looks nice, comfy and reasonable, i will let you know.
have you tried brands like tracce (avail in metrojaya), this brand is not bad at all
you know these days most of the brands i wear i will still encounter some pain that is why i am very careful these days.
your friend might have smaller feet than yours or you know some women emm i was like that before i.e. will sacrifice comfort for beauty.
things that are comfortable on your friend might not be comfortable on you.
i used to buy shoes from pretty fit too, have not been checking their shoes lately, did you check it out?
sole lovers is nice and comfortable, but i noticed the ones that are sold here in malaysia are a bit old fashion though… you could check all these out.
actually you could get leather shoes if your budget is rm100, you just need to shortlist a few brands and check it out. and yes, i personally think primavera overprice their shoes same goes to hush puppies.
mimi, i think it’s rotelli (italy), they have nice shoes too, have you heard of charmaine (made in korea), i bought one of their stilettos (with stones) for dinner, it was very cheap like rm60+ and it looks classy hahaha…
hi dexy, honestly speaking last time jimmy choo was unknown it’s only till princess diana wore his shoes (he was really lucky if it’s tom, dick and harry, then i think he won’t be famous), well sometimes all this shoe maker (any profession) they might not necessarily be good but luck counts too. i don’t believe all his so called “jimmy choo” shoes are design by him (sometimes when i flipped the magazines and noticed there’s nothing really appealing on some of the shoes made by jimmy choo, once the brand is famous some ppl will buy it blindly, he will surely have lots of designer under him. as for mr lew, he knows “packaging” is important and lots of ppl here doesn’t know it’s malaysian made and thought this brand must be good since some of it are quite expensive, it’s really overpriced lah not worth buying it at all..
i bought salvatore shoes before but it gives me pain too. these days i learned my lessons i wont buy shoes that are made of hard leather like cow leather for example and ensure the cutting of the shoes especially the front if it’s too narrow and you know your feet is rather wide, then you must really think twice…
hi, do check out the below brands:
jwest
nice west
sketchers
sole lovers
jane shilton
fiorucci
rotelli
tracce
pretty fit
They shud have Geox warehouse sales. Love to buy one.
yup not worth goin, lewre shuz r not comfortable at all.i used to get cuts wen i wear their shuz.nd the price is not tht cheap.now i go for nine west, aldo, guess and crocs.they r way soooo comfy nd worth it
Hi all,
I have few pairs of lewre heels and they have been with me for 2 years, still nice. I guess it depends on personal preference and foot size (shape also), there is no single brand good enough for everybody to like it. If u were to buy from warehouse sale, please remember that these stocks are OLD, that’s why they’re cheap. So don’t blame if they’re not lasting, cause you already know the fact that they are not saleable stocks.
Anyway, happy shopping !!
true..lewre is not as good as the price..too pricey for such a local brand..i might suggest u girls to try charles n keith, its kinda upper version of vincci or nose…i love it to the max!
I agree with Bath. Lewre shoes are just to pricey for a Malaysian made brand. It is sad that Malaysia do not have many soft leather comfortable shoes for ladies. It is more on fashion and cheap in price. Many ladies like to have many pairs of shoes to match everyday clothing. Therefore they don’t really look for comfy long lasting shoes.
I was in that fashion craze shoe person before. But i had enough after experiencing bad blisters on my feet that caused me to wear slippers to work for 2 months. What an ugly sight! That was the lesson buying fashionable shoes regardless it is comfortable or not. Got those blisters after only wearing & walking for 5 mins.
Since then i opt for soft leather shoes.
Started with Hushpuppies and still wearing their brand but looking for other alternatives as they have started to be overpriced to.
Hope to find a suitable brand with reasonable pricing comfortable shoe.
Thank you for sharing experience and informations.
Totally agree with abc. I have few pairs as well & with me for 1 year plus. Now still in good condition. I bought at 50% discount.
Snowfly very confortable as well but a bit old fashion.
hi sue, do check out tracce, i bought a calf leather walking shoe a couple of years back and still wearing it on and off (i have lots of shoes but is trying to donate it away, i am still a shoe fetish).
coming back to tracce, the design that i bought was not old fashion emm more towards european design when i wore it to the office i used to get lots of people asking where did i got it from as by just looking at it they find it comfy and looks good wo…, but you know lah sometimes depending on their season so you do have to check it out for yourself whether you will like it or not.
these days i usually buy flats when i know i need to walk on malls or if i know my day will involve in a lot of running around i will put on slippers ah talking about slippers for those who is looking for nice and non-slip ones, i would like to recommend ipanema, i noticed these days lots of girls would buy slippers from vincci/nose etc but all these are not meant for walking, the sole is more for you to walk on carpets then it would be fine but you know la most places like toilet, shopping malls have those slippery tiles. the gisele bunchen sandals are nice to me too, you have to wait for their sale – usually you could get it from R Sporting…. they had a sale before chinese new year this year if not mistaken, i bought 2 pairs of slippers for myself (after discount it was like rm16 for a pair) their usual price is around rm30+, 1 pair for my daughter (after discount it was like rm10) to me vincci/nose etc wont be able to give you this price for non-slip and colourful sandals
This is WHS or normal discount sell only …. cos the location was not in the factory itself !!
we must know that they make in bulk for just 1 design and some of the design are not saleable and yup that is why they have warehouse sale and some stocks are like 1 or 2 years back. anyway, we really have to see which brand has warehouse sale as some don’t give us consumer good sale in terms of money wise.
i was very happy that i managed to go to the sporting warehouse sale in subang jaya recently and i bought a pair of sandal from gisele bunchen and i also managed to go to nose/brera warehouse sale also held recently in subang jaya, sorry, i didn’t bother to look at nose as it looks like pasar malam to me, so i head straight to brera honestly i didn’t know about this brand until that warehouse sale, i bought a pair of black brera heels, i paid around rm100 for that and it’s genuine leather (calf i think) and i wanted to buy the boots too as it’s really cheap some full leather and some are suede leather for rm100+ also, but with weather in malaysia i decided maybe it’s really not a wise decision so sad. sorry, in short we consumers must be careful not to jump straight when we hear warehouse sale as not all of them carries quality stuff, genuine sale etc. i noticed the malays will snapped a lot when it comes to warehouse sale (esp. perfumes) but to what i noticed most of them would grabbed a few baskets and they would sit down on the floor to slowly choose and sometimes i heard them talking like they don’t know this brand and that brand, oh my, but they still snapped it as though it’s free, sorry i just want to say that we really have to spend wisely as most of the time it’s really non-essential goods that we are buying and especially now times are really bad, there are so many people who are jobless and here we are spending, each time i would feel guilty after i return from warehouse sale, i still thank to be able to buy and i would like to urge all here that if you don’t want to wear those shoes, those clothes, no longer use those bags etc, do donate it, there are lots of people out there who needs it more than us. spread love around, the world will be a better place.
Prefer clarks and scholl. Don’t care for their ugly design as long it is comfy and no blister on my feet.
i agreed with mimi
i do prefer primavera n 9 WEST ranges but i will try to reach there coz my friend told me,the price are cheap n a lot of shoes i can find there
hello girls.. why not u all trying ALDO. i’m very loyal to ALDO, b’coz the design is classy and sexy! very comfortable!!
yea me too…but my favorite brand is guess
i dun tink it’s worth going…lewre shuz not that comfy. scholl shoes are real comfy…love those leather sandals…i wear them to work…dun care about not looking good w/o high heels coz if everyday high heels…will get varicose veins sooner or later…then hav to go for surgery…
Hi bb19, I like scholl sandals too. They are very comfortable. I bought for my mom and mom in law. They are very satisfied with it and plan to buy a few more.
I can’t wear those sandals to work because i am a secretary to CEO. Meet lots of guest daily. They don’t look professional with the office suits. But i wish i can wear them every where i go. I am a person who don’t like to change my shoe or bag if it is good and comfortable.
Scholl court shoes design are very outdated. I buy Hushpuppies.
Any news 4 this sale today?
Just came back from this sale. Not too bad at all. Selected shoes (believed is old season/stocks) starts from 50 onwards. I bought 2 pairs myself…not crowded at all..credit and cash accepted..Easy to get parking too,,,
no one posts comments today except AhPeng? how’s the sales? worth to go?
hi shenn, these days it’s really no hurry to go for sales (times are bad) and sincerely i think lewre’s shoes is really not going (not genuine sale).
hmmm i find lewre shoes really comfortable have 3 pairs at home.especially their black leather close heel high heel. eventhough made in msia but for me its comfy. i have tried aldo, primavera and even 9west not comfy for me as i have small feet and and heavy .
i think must get to the right size and design … i love my shoes to max, i don mind paying for comfy and design.. hushpupies and clarks and scholl just too old fashion!vincci and nose is like factory shoes to me, everyone just wear it , and its not tht cheap even its not vincci plus and quality is bad, i used to buy from vincci and nose when i was a student. ugly shoes !
I am working in The Weld building and passed by the Concourse level during lunch. It was very quite and not many people. Not many shoes as well. They have displayed probably bout 50 different design (only one pair per design). Some of the fancy (or expensive) shoes are displayed in glass cubicle.
Went again just now to check out the prices. Price starting from RM50 for some designs, quite nice and not so old fashion or old looking stuffs. Some of the shoes still have Parkson price tags like RM350, RM190 etc.
Then there are RM60, RM80, RM1XX and RM180 for men shoes (not many though – bout 8 designs only). If you are looking for bags – dont go. Nothing there, only a few.
From my point of view, it’s quite OK!!
this is quite a good sale when it comes to the set up. Its a huge space, not crowded and really nice staff to help out. There’s even a place to sit and try the shoes, which u rarely find at warehouse sales.
Its not exactly cheap but then again the designs are not old. leather courts are 100++ while other leather shoes like wedges are 50-80. Quite a few nice designs. Those of u who work nearby should really try ou but again its a matter of taste.
i am looking for white shoes for wedding. is there any of them suit with the wedding??pls update here! thxxx
just been to the weld,. not much selections and not as cheap as i thought.
Hi,
I have 2 pairs of shoes which my sis bought from this sale to let go coz it doesnt really fit me.
Both are stated as size 35 (or Size 4 US) but its more of a size 5. One is white strappy with small diamonds at the front and the other one is a grey/silver pointed pumps (leather) with small diamond on the buckle in front. Anyone interested? Its brand new…never worn before. Do email me if you wanna take a look…i can take some pics for those interested. As for price, White: RM60, Grey/silver: RM90.
ME,
there were a few white shoes, but their staf said they hv limited sizes. And i think that atleast 2 of them were suitable for weddings. Give the sale a try
Thanks yoyo, Me, did you manage to get the wedding shoe? do they hv common size like 5? I am looking for wedding shoe too
thx.
wow, that’s bad, seems like really quiet as compare to other warehouse sales. blossam, u r rite.
Can any one give me the full address how to get there.
i just been to the weld… bought a pair
Lins ,
worth it to go there ???
Blossom,
I’d just like everyone to know that times are bad yes, but its a genuine Lewre sale. One of the girls attending to the customers was actually part of their marketing ppl(sort of like head la, forgot her position). Vr nice lady. So i personally dont think its fake stuff. Just my opinion. Sale is quite happening actually. Just that i think ppl assume its not that cheap so not as much crowd as metrojaya or loreal sale.
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
NEW STYLES AND FURTHER MARKDOWN
From today onwards, Lewre will bringing in some new styles as well as FURTHER MARKDOWN on selected styles.
Tomorrow is the last day and we’ll be open to 8pm.
See you there!
hi yoyo,
sorry, i did i say it’s fake somewhere? well, actually i didn’t mean that lewre’s shoes are fake, to me it’s just overpriced for some malaysian made brands and please dont get me wrong, i have nothing against buying malaysian products. but, when i tried to compare price to price i find lewre is almost the same if not more expensive than some other imported brands that’s all. they market their shoes overseas one thing, 2ndly they sell their shoes at shopping complexes and they have to cover back the rental etc, etc and one of the reasons they have to priced their shoes higher. emm i went to metrojaya not everything is cheap and i find these days we as consumers have to be careful when it says warehouse sale, like metrojaya when i look at the clothes etc the price is exactly the same during their normal sale, it’s definitely not worth buying it as i get to redeem points if i shop at metrojaya. emm i just saw that they will be bringing some new arrivals and further reduction so no harm going to check out lewre’s but i will not be going as the sale is in kl..
me n my sister went there last 2 days.. for us it is worth to go.. for this sale..i think the price is reasonable…it starts from Rm50…bought 2 pairs..for Rm50 shoes i think it’s worth it to buy..
went to the warehse sale last year. bought 2 pairs, nearly RM120. after pakai, one heel cabut.. then the other pair very sakit to pakai after sumtime jalan2. menyesal beli lewre… hopeless brand!
After lunch I took a peep at the Lewre Shoe Fair – since it is the last day of their sale, the prices were reduced by RM 10 from the initial price. I manage to spot a lovely red & gold strappy heels and voila! It fits me well & I paid only RM 30 for it (reduced by RM 10 since it is the last day already I guess). The shoes seems nice & well made – hopefully will last me longer bit
Hi guys. I just brought two pairs of hushpuppies shoes last week. The price was 60- 70% less. I am so happy. Because recently i got a pair which i don’t like the design. Look old fashioned. But i bought because the price had a better discount. Now i can keep and rotate them to wear. So far i have 6 pairs of it.
Including sandals as well. Now days the price for leather shoes had gone up sky. The price do not justify the shoe quality.
i agree that the price of leather shoes have gone up tremendously, a lot of demand. leather bags are even scarrier i don’t think i will be able to buy leather bag for some time since it’s so pricey these days….
What’s up?. Thanks a bunch for the blog. I’ve been digging around looking some info up for shool, but there is so much out there. Google lead me here – good for you i guess! Keep up the great information. I will be popping back over in a couple of days to see if there is any more info.
