    mane menara chan ni?

  2. blossom says:

hmm i have not been buying g2000 clothing for a very long time as i find their clothing that was brought into malaysia is boring both on their design and colour and it’s getting more and more pricey. i still remember their 1st outlet at lot10 ground floor where dome cafe is located now, those days their clothing was really nice and they also have those colourful ones.

  3. Fuiyi says:

May i know where the Menara Chan located?

  4. mamamia says:

    where is Menara Chan located?

  5. ringgit-malaysia says:

    fuiyi,
menara chan located opposite to Zouk (kl). situated at jalan ampang

    blossom,
i agree with u. years before i thought g2000 is somekind of europe-based apparel company. later i found out it was just another china-men brand. originated by micheal tien who founded U2 closing line. with price u pay for about rm700 for a pair of suit, to me not worth it. coz the fabrics and all not that good actually. but there’s a trade-off, which u might not find in other brand (bonia, johnmaster) g2000 provide range of profesional apperal catered for asian clothing sizes. (u’ll be “well-suited” lor hehehe)

i never been to g2000 stock clearance before. im gonna check this out. see what they have to offer

  6. nini says:

    Does it need original flyer?

  7. sharon says:

    from RM5? G2000 wor?

  8. blossom says:

hi ringgit malaysia, oh yes, tks for sharing, yes, u2, i used to buy u2, g2000 years i thought this is a brand from hong kong and i love to buy my clothes from “theme” and edmund ser, well i would say most of us malaysians we dont have the buying power that’s why all the famous brands rather go into singapore market instead of coming to malaysia. anyway, we should be thankful that we have more brands to choose from these days as to compare with those days, with that budget there are lots of brands to choose from, have you tried sisley, benetton sometimes their clothes can be very nice at least this is italian brands and most of the times you get some discounts. i love mng and zara but lately there are just too, too, too many people going for all these brands, as much as possible i try to minimise clashing clothes with others…. i am still trying to explore some other brands, promod is not bad too.

hi sharon, rm5 it could be a t-shirt….

  9. Minty says:

    dear all,
pls beware. hope this is a genuine sale. i’ve been to most sales (at their boutiques) and normally not selling like advertised. my hubby wears their shirts & we always check out their sales. selalu tipu. always advertise got 70% or 50% but then no so or 70% for just a few pair of very buruk pants that not even sold in their boutique on normal days.
Anyone who goes to this sale, pls update everyone for the benefit of all. Thanks.

  10. jess says:

anyway i m going to check out n grab some working suit

  11. DeviL says:

Sounds interesting. I should check out what others say before going..

  12. arghh says:

RM5 could be the spaghetti top only, anyway, it is worth it! its comfyy for casual wear or under ur blazer! :)
RM5 i saw it already in G2K in alamanda, they always have this RM10 t-shirts. :)
the RM5 too also have it in metrojaya in midvalley.
    cheerz! :D

  13. annnnnnnn says:

actually i don’t go into g2000 stores after i found a shirt that i like but it’s priced at rm100-200++
so i’m not sure bout g2000 range
do they sell high waisted skirts?

  14. Andre says:

I have been to a G2000 warehouse sale before twice in MPL. There wont be any shirt selling for RM5, thats for sure. It really depends on what they are offering. The first one was organised by Citibank whereby they are offering 70% discount (those older plain type shirt) and with a Citibank card, you get another 20% off. It was a great deal because I just needed normal plain shirt. If you want to buy newer shirt with better fabric, honestly its not that cheap. They do have 50% on those but keep in mind that you can get the same deal in boutique where they sells these with ‘Buy 2 Free 1′ promotion which is effectively 50% off but they forced you to buy more.

The 2nd one was organised by HSBC and this time they were smarter. No more 70% but instead it was 50% discount. I still took it because they had another 20% off the balance after the discount when you pay with a HSBC. Not exactly great, but still pretty worth buying. I did managed to get a pant at 50% off but keep in mind that its not the latest one.

The reason I bought G2000 is the same as some of you that point out which is the cutting that they had. It fits smaller built Asian, and what I do like compared to the likes of Seed and Padini is that their fabric is easier to iron straight. Another reason was that the fabric is thin, which at times feel cheap but suit very well for our hot weather.

    • G2000fever says:

      Hi,

i used to wear G2000 shirts and hope to having some sharing with you on the G2000 shirts.

Do you know is there any sales for G2000 recently?

I like the shirt like what you mentioned, it is thin and very nice fabric,
easy to iron and look great when put on body and wear to office.

hope to talk with you more.

  15. Nora says:

I’ve been to their clearance stock in 2005.
I bought RM5 plain shirts and spaghetti top wt G2000 or U2 tag, but utk pakai kat rumah saja. Not sure if this time they offer new design.
I bought short sleeve shirt for my hubby at RM20, it’s nice. RM5 pants & palazzo for myself, again for homeuse only loh. The fabrick is so jarang. I saw my cleaner borong 3 plastic bags of plain shirts.

  16. NGY says:

for entrance, isit original flyer request?

  17. Angel says:

Why are some people still asking stupid questions like where menara chan is when the answer is already right there underneath the address? So annoying!

  18. Nora says:

You may not find where Menara Chan is if you does not familiar wt that place. You have to find where Hotel Maya is. Menara Chan is attached to Hotel Maya, but using different entrance. There is another building attached to it called Menara 138. Just ask the guard they will guide you.

  19. Shirley says:

I’ve been to their sales in Menara Chan and was alwiz looking forward their sale. I’m not sure about other sales held somewhere under G2000. This is their office in Menara Chan and seriously their sale is very cheap but you really need to dig in. Some of their clothes are rejected or tears. Well..as i say, nothing come cheap this days without some defects on it.

Have to check out their sales this time and see wat’s their offer. Sometimes you could really a get good deal for a nice dress, skirt or shirts. RM5 each..no joke.

I’m not promoting G2000 but i do bought some of it with great deal.

  20. ringgit-malaysia says:

yeah, if stock clearance it would be worth it. but if u take it from tha rack, definite waste of dime. china-men brand. low cost, low quality+high priced junks

  21. Salese says:

who is going to this sales. Need more info for the sales

  22. daphne says:

  23. salese says:

Alot ppl or not? Me Planning to go later, afraid of jam…

  24. daphne says:

i went there at 11am…alot ppl, but still can walk and turn
the warehouse is inside the G2000 office meeting room…super small….

there is alot ppl during lunch time 12.15pm onward…
hard to walk and hard to turn…

but really worth….all is G2000 and G2000 blu…no others brand.
    better go early…

remember to print the flyer also…

  25. salese says:

ya, thanks for your info daphne…

  26. daphne says:

my colleague went there just now at 1.30pm.
she say no small size tee and pant for gal…
but the blaze still got alot….
if u is gal and small size and no interest to buy blazer…
    better don go…waste time

    for guy…still got alot choice…

  27. Margaret says:

    Got fitting room?

  28. fina says:

I just went there yup really cheap + quality. For ladies were limited choice offered but for men you have to go there worth of it same like what daphne said

  29. fina says:

no fitting room…One of the staff said that all the apparel are one go no more stocks so first come 1st serve but well i don’t know either it is thru or not but just drop there u will love it especially for men..but for ladies there still got a few pants worth RM15 and still in good quality

  30. ceci says:

just back from there. You need to print the flyer in order to go in. The cashier told me that they still have stock for tomorrow. There are still unopen boxes but not sure the stock are same as today or not. Worth going. Bought 3 t-shirt, 2 skirt and 1 coat at total of rm80 only

  31. Norule says:

Fina, do i need to bring along the invitation print?

  32. Alixii says:

You must have the printed Flyer as they will ask for it before entering the room. Wide selection of mans’ shirt. Everything is less than RM50. Hardest part is finding the right size. I did not manage to get anything for myself since most of the gals blouse doesnt look good. There is no fitting room. Oh! Remember to bring cash…. ;)

  33. choco says:

do they sell high waist pants or skirts for ladies? is s/m consider small size? and how’s the blazer looks like? is it looks very old style?

  34. choco says:

opps…sorry, i mean is m consider small size also? where to park btw? thanks

  35. daphne says:

the blazer look smart and not old style (my point of view).
there got xs, s, m, l, xl and xxl.
me buy the xs(26′) for my pant and blazer

  36. Andre says:

Er, I didnt bring any flyer and just go in like that. Not sure if it was really needed.

Anyway, I can say not much choice la. Its because most of the sizes are either too small or too big. For example, the blazer, some of it looks great, but only limited sizes. Those with size are either old fashion or color looks old. Then the Tshirt as one SnS’er reported only got S size but luckily fit me. RM9 each. As for shirt, there is a lot of 14 1/2 size. I used to wear this size and hard to find. However I had become fatter thus needing 15 and only managed to find one. Other sizes in abundance is 15 1/2, 16 and 17. RM15 per shirt is a steal though. As for pants, only left a few formal pant sized 29 only. Nothing else. There is a couple of G2000 Blu (U2) pant for RM25 but sizes are mostly from 36 and bigger. Overall, its cheap if you can find what you want. For me, just simple bought 2 tshirt and 2 shirt. Nothing else to buy really and its just a very small room.

  37. Casey says:

Why must the organizer impose a ‘bring along printed flyer’ rule? Why can’t all warehouse sale accept credit card? I mean, you dont’t expect me to bring 100’s and walk around town do you? (not that I have much cash to begin with … hehe).

  38. Moon says:

I went there this afternoon, not much choices left. Many people went in the morning and grabbed all the good things.

  39. Nora says:

I went there for the 2nd time today, not much left. But still I find good shirts for my hubby. They didnt ask flyers since not many people at that time. Will be going again tomorrow… :)

  40. lizzygee says:

Went during early lunch and it wasn’t that packed but it is a small room with a long mirror to try on shirts/coats etc no fitting rooms at all. The blazers for women all seemed quite the same color…black or dark grey which I didn’t want so didn’t take a good look. T-shirts what i saw were very simple ones, not that attractive and sizes were mostly medium-large. Rm10 wasn’t not a big steal eventho the price on the tag at retail price was much more. What ladies, everywhere sale so control and wait for better bargains!

Pants and skirt some were nice but sizes were too big. I saw one worn out handbag and considered myself lucky coz i didn’t see any at all during my initial scouting. Poor handbag, the unwanted one. Belts also went pretty fast of what’s available.

Office wear shirts were going at rm15. Men’s necktie rm10 (pretty smart designs for young and older men). If i had more time, I would have looked at the men’s shirt which were plain but okay for the price. That’s all i bought. Queue was long with only two cashiers. Only cash accepted. Better to bring flyer if you have. I didn’t but told the gal i rushed here taking the train and she let me in.

Men’s wear more interesting than women’s. If they replenish great but go early. And don’t go holding purse and mobile phone in your hand coz there aren’t any baskets for you to put your selected clothing, no place to put it either. Bring a sling handbag so your hands can be free to dig/reach/inspect/try on clothing… really hard to find empty space to even stand still. It is the size of three meeting rooms or less!

  41. kc says:

i went there yesterday. the things there really super cheap but if u r those kind of polite ppl plz dun go. u might end up finding nothing down there cuz all gal wnet there really into search & fighting sprit of finding nice & cheap cloth for themself.
so, remember bring along the flyer. really needed 2 enter there. i might going again later of the day.

  42. Ray says:

Well, i went yesterday at about 4 plus but couldn’t find anything nice. as like what the rest said, the things are cheap if you could only find nice and fitting ones. those that are available that time was like size 40 & 42 for the skirts and pants. blazers are like size L. those really big size.

Couldn’t find anything nice except that i saw 1 plain shirt which is only RM15 which is so so so cheap. i chat with the gals working there and they said they put in different stocks everyday as they do not know what stocks is in the box. So if anyone is interested to look for more nice clothes and pants, be sure to go there everyday and around 12 plus. if not, by afternoon those nice stuffs would be gone.

i wanna go again but it’s so far for me to actually walk there during lunch. and if i were to go after work, i’m sure those nice stuffs would be gone. i’m looking for nice working clothes.

  43. DeviL says:

    Awww….wasted…would love to buy belt…

  44. Ceci says:

Not much choice for belt. If have also those not in good conditions anymore.

  45. purpleworld says:

    SUPERB satisfied…
I got 2 shirts and a tee for only RM40..
    WOW!!!
    really worth it..
if you dare to dig and can stay in a crowded condition, it is worth to go..
my advice is, go in the morning..

  46. Ray says:

Anyone can share some thoughts here with me???
I’m thinking of going after work today as it’s the last day but do you think they still have nice stuffs??
or would it all be gone by then??
    Looking for nice working clothes..

  47. lizzygee says:

If you can get there early like 11am or before lunch crowd Ray, you should have a good chance since they open new boxes (forum posting here) everyday.

If their staff happen to read this, it would be more pro-active that they do open new boxes more than once a day if they see that their stuff are going. When i went on the first day, there were hardly any nice pieces of Tees and those that were nice were L sizes. Those came later were quite disappointed sizes gone and not many things left to choose. Handbags also no sign at all. Ladies can behave like bees to honey but a whole bunch of lunch crowd people were a little disappointed eventho happy with price. Leaving with stuff for their bf/husband/brother.

Do look closely at the men’s shirt cause some have stains.

Good luck Ray, even if you end up with one or two pieces, it would be worth your trip.

  48. kc says:

    i went there total 2days.
1st day was really nothing nice but get some blazer @ $30 & skirt for $15 only. really worth all i can say.
yesterday was like a day for me i spend $120 and get 7pieces of clothes. SUPER CHEAP!!! i manage 2 dig in & brought 2pieces of dress each cost $30 & work suit (ya!, work suit all last in my sight) i manage 2 grab 4pieces and each cost $10 or $15 only.
wat else can i say. tis is really a mad sell.
oh, ya! RAY. advisable not 2 go after working hours. u can read the earlier comment left by other saying there are nothing left after working hours. but maybe can give a shot. good luck & happy buying.

  49. Nor says:

I bought 6 pcs of men shirts on the first day, very nice colour and design – Rm15/each. Yesterday may not be a good day for men.The only colour yg available plain pink, red, yellow and green – RM15/each. Ladies? hmmm quite nice shirts offered yesterday , not sure abt today. Will go and check again tdy – my 5th visit :)

  50. kc says:

WAH! Nor u r really a shopholic then me. but good. at least v get the cheapest & nicest stuff. anyway, maybe going 2 check out again 2day. really can’t affort to miss this opportunity. but one thing i dun like the paying counter really long Q. i yesterday waited almost half an hour juz 2 pay. :-(

anyway, all worth it in the end of the day. happy shopping.

  51. Jeremy says:

Was there yesteday around 4 pm. The selection for men was quite dissapointing. But still managed to get 1 blazer, 2 pants and 1 bow tie, total damage was RM 110 @_@!!!

Really can’t believe on the price, especially the original price for a blazer was RM 699, but now only RM 50.

  52. Nor says:

    Kc,
I have to admid that I’m shopholic this time, not just me, but all my colleques also :) My office is in the same building as their’s. I went to their sales before in 2005. Eventhough I couldnt get anything for me, I still bought something for my husband. Men clothes are really cheap.
I bought 1 blazer, 2 ties, 6 shirts for about RM200. My husband no need shopping for 2 years hahahahaa..

  53. Nor says:

    Jeremy,
After 2pm is still ok, not many people- according to my colleque. 4pm is considered late already. I went there at 4pm yesterday nothing interesting.

  54. kc says:

    Nor,
no wonder u can go there 4 5 times. :-D is good 2 know u got ur kaki shopping also.
ya! men clothes r really cheap. i brought 2 shirt on the 1st day for my bf. good wife, la u. tau berjimat untuk dia. hahahaha! :-) anyway, later i’m going again.
    happy shopping, ya!

  55. Lim says:

Was very disappointed..paid parking for Rm 4, get a shirt for my husband.Wanted to buyer pants and shirt for my husband, shirt left over stock with Yellow, red .. not for office wear.Talk to the staff why don’t have pants and more choise for shirts for men (let fews pcs with size 44,33)she told me this morning was a lot , still have some in their store but I reach at 11am and finish shop at 11.30am.I will not go for this type of wherehouse sales again.

  56. Ray says:

Thanks lizzygee and kc for the info..
I actually went on the first day but it was quite late when i went. most of the nice stuffs are gone.
only managed to grab one shirt.. Was thinking of going there again to try my luck if there’s anymore nice clothes as the price is so so so cheap..
Where can you actually get nice clothes with the price of only RM15++ rite??

but i’m only afraid that i will waste RM4 on parking and not finding nice stuffs there, it will be such a waste. and by that time, i bet there will be a massive jam..

HELP!!! I’m in dilemma.. I’m still hesitating whether to go or not to go..
I just hope that they will open new boxes in the afternoon..
I think if i were to go, the earliest i can reach there is like 6 o’clock..

  57. kc says:

    RAY,
no need thx 4 that. i like 2 share my experience with u guy.
actually, i wanted to go there at noon juz now. but i’m 2 bz closing acct & etc, etc….. it’s mth end T_T
i taught of going after work ya, reach there at 6 oso.
but i oso afraid nice stuff no more in size of 36 or 38. i always went thr parking price was rm6.50. very exepensive too. so, trying 2 walk thr after work but scare i will b back empty handed. really can’t help u much here. mayb u can flip a coin 2 decide going o no. destiny leave to the coin. :-D cheers

  58. shopper says:

went there today at ard 11 plus…the crowd was already mad but i managed to get lotsa stuffs

    3 skirts size 38, M

  59. Reen says:

    Ray,

    DONT GO!

I went there yesterday & superbly satisfied with their sale so I come again today. I reach d place @ 12.15pm & there was nothing interesting left! Only left a few of lousy items. We left d place empty handed. Long queues with most of them holding at least 2-3 blazers. Should be those early birds who managed to grab good things.

The front room with full of boxes yesterday also was empty. Don’t think they have any stock to stock up alreadi. U just wasting ur time if u still go. U may still try ur luck though…

  60. Nor says:

I went there at 11.10am, but people has already queuing at the cashier. I wonder what time they get into the sales area. Back with empty handed. Went there again at 3pm they didnt replenish the stocks.

  61. Ray says:

    Thanks everyone for the info..
I didn’t go after work as i finish work quite late today..
i left the office around 7so didn’t have the time to go.

if i were to go, by the time i reach there,i can only help them to close..

  62. Chuah says:

Shirts were left only green and yellow on the last day, even I arrive at 11.15am.
