wow, way to go ikea for this idea….now people will think twice to use plastic bag or to bring their own reusable bag….
Anyway i like ikea’s plastic bag….thick and usually i buat plastik tuk buang sampah
But Ikea’s plastic bag are degradable. I know because I kept one before to store some papers in the storeroom nd over the time, the bag was torn into pieces when I rearranged stuff in the storeroom.
Audra, Ikea plastic is same quality with J.Jusco wil turn to pieces if u keep it same times….. Its for recycle purpose.
Ikea i love u…. 1st shopping center to said “NO PLASTIC BAGS”! Yeh….. All the shopper pls said “NO PLASTIC BAGS” also…… We must save the world now…
GREAT!!! FINALLY!!!
Hope people get the long-term message of reducing plastic bag usage and the need to over-consume. REDUCE no.1. Is this a worldwide Ikea move?Probably =) MNS, hope you put the money to good use in making this world greener! I am glad the money will go towards a green cause, just hope it is used where it is supposed to be meant for!
Whoopsy, I meant the need to reduce consumption from our lifestyle of over-consumption! It is a bold step in the right direction by IKEA
Good move!! another brilliant idea from Swedish company..
I think Ikea is charging very reasonably for their bags seeing how big the bags are. I wonder if they would soon come up with those reuseable bags. If the design is nice and they are cheaply priced, I would go for it because I like collecting reusable bags!
Good idea!!! Every company should practice social conscience.. Hope others will follow suit.
I don’t know about this, but if it’s from Ikea; must be COOL! Way to go.
yae yae….we all know that all those big2 company have a fund for the environment…as they are the big contributor off all the mess..i think due to the econ crisis they came out wit this idea to make U all to pay the fund. Good for IKEA (save thier money + can sell their bag).
u can buy those ikea big bags… the blue ones like the yellow ones they let you use when browsing. its rm3.90 apiece i think.
