i tried to do the purchase thru garmin's website, but the paypal shiz won't allow me. this is funny!

1st they tell me i have to upgrade my withdrawal limit on paypal. then i went thru hell in paypal's website just to find out that you ONLY need to set a withdrawal limit IF your paypal acct is not verified (which mine WAS verified indeed). so why can't i make the purchase under the pretext that i had to upgrade my withdrawal limit? FYI, once the acct is verified, there is NO WITHDRAWAL LIMIT. this is such a messy shiz & i'm so upset with paypal...

whatever happened to paying directly via credit card? why is paypal suddenly telling us where & how to pay? gosh, GPS BAY must have lost a bunch of customers (if what happened to me also happened to them).

anyone else had this shiz? btw i sent an email to GPS BAY & hopefully they'll get back to me & i can buy the set without much hassle.

internet biz can be so upsetting, isnt it?

Office GPS BAY website

Looks like it is a workable GPS unit. Friend told me that I should get one as it would be quite risky to stop by the road side at night to ask for direction. Especially when I am alone.

I'm sure no one can provide a prefect map out of reality and further more providing out free. As what i concern is that i can search the place that i'm looking for, so having 2 maps in the device is always better than only 1. Beside i'm also reporting those place that i can't find to MapKing at http://www.mapking.com/eng/support/mapreporter.html so that they'll add in for the next updates. For those free maps, well it's not for me nor anyone to complaint since it's free.

I would think alternative purchase is to get one smart-phones with GPS capability (i.e. HTC phones). Many useful softwares are free for download and can be enhanced from time-to-time.

For my experience of using GPS BAY device, I think is quite ok.
You can get free Malsing map download on their website, it's totally free of charge.
This device saves a lot of fuel for me

Dear Value Customer,
Thank you for showing interest with our product. Following are some clarification:

The Citigold campaign which was launch in May of 2008 experiencing some initial hiccup on the map issue and the patch bridge was to include both MapKing Malaysia and Singapore map. The issue had been resolved months ago and the end result were over 2000++ units of GPS BAY E668 being distributed through the Citigold GPS BAY campaign. Up until now, GPS BAY still had the Citigold member walked into GPS BAY's service center looking for map update or the replacement of the broken touch screen or device problem. It was an indication that Citigold members do find GPS BAY's navigation device useful and GPS BAY is committed to continuously serving its customer.

One can googling the thread by key in malsing + citigold
http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=9385&hilit=citibank

Argument of the Garmin vs China product is really pending on what product that one is looking for. At GPS BAY's service center, we constantly had Garmin customer walked into our service center with Garmin product and asking our technician whether we can help them to repair their Garmin navigator. Unfortunately we don't have the Garmin parts to serve those customer and we just had to sadly sent the uninformed Garmin customer that owning the AP set away. A gentle reminder to the Garmin device owner, please double check on the status of your device. You may run into issue of nobody to call for when you have a broken Garmin device. So please be careful on which Garmin device that you are buying. Protection is there if you own an authorized Garmin navigator from the authorized Garmin distributor.

On the take of the map issue, we believe that GPS BAY are providing the best Malaysia map solution by far as all GPS BAY device using Mapking R12 which has both commercial version as well as the community version (Malsing map or some time people called it Garmin map). Combining the best of both world would give you a better Malaysia map. This option is only available if you are using Mapking software. To top it all, we are using WinCE platform as oppose to Garmin which is proprietary OS. In the past, we have had customer buying from us and out of their own initiation installed IGO8 + England map when traveling to England and switch back to Mapking when they traveling to Malaysia. For the Singapore map, by far Mapking has the best map as they are using the SLA (Singapore Land Authority) Singapore maps. Thus for those who think Singapore map is important please check out our E668XP.

At GPS BAY, we are working hard to provide a good quality product at affordable price. You are in safe hand if you choose GPS BAY navigator as your driving companion.

Thanks and wish you to have a wonderful Christmas. Cheer!
