10 reasons to visit Suria KLCC

June 15th, 2009

WITH “Always Something New” as its brand promise, Suria KLCC has, in the past year, opened 10 boutiques, most of which are flagship stores of internationally renowned labels.

The shops are Ed Hardy, 7 For All Mankind, Mulberry, ck Accessories, Accessorize, Godiva, Harrods, Faber Castell, HTC and Dewi Moon.

American label: The Ed Hardy store attracts plenty of repeat customers, who became familiar with the label when they were abroad.

Suria KLCC campaign marketing and communication senior manager Zurinah Hasan said the mall’s efforts were focused on its shoppers and their needs.

She added that offering a vast range of products, from mass market to luxury labels, was part of what made KLCC unique.

“We are dedicated to creating new and exciting experiences for our shoppers, whether by introducing new retail partners or bringing in sought-after favourites.

“Most of the shops that we have are flagship stores, or big labels that are setting up stores for the first time in Malaysia – that’s what makes us unique,” she said during a media tour of the new outlets recently.

During the tour, media members were taken from one store to the next, introducing store concepts and products.

Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier is one of the popular stores at the mall. The clothing line, inspired by tattoo artist Hardy, is a colourful and funky range of apparel for both men and women. The American label, which was launched in 2004, also carries a children’s collection.

Everything for the good life: The LG Boutique is the first LG boutique store in the country.

“Ed Hardy is all about comfort besides the attitude. We have plenty of repeat customers, who were familiar with the label when they were abroad,” said store supervisor Sharon Leong.

Another store is 7 For All Mankind (7FAM). The luxury denim label, which boasts a customer list that includes several Hollywood stars, specialises in jeans for both men and women. Kuala Lumpur is the third Asian city to have a 7FAM outlet, after Tokyo and Manila,

Harrods needs no introduction. The UK-based store, which was recently officially opened by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, speaks for itself with its quality food products and a tea salon offering high-tea.

Next to Harrods on Level One is chocolatier Godiva. True chocolate lovers will find this outlet a pleasant discovery with its range of premium Belgian chocolates.

The LG Boutique is located on Level Three. Opened last May, the store, which covers 186 square metres, is the first LG boutique store in the country.

After the tour, the media members were treated to high-tea at Harrods.

Nice to know that there’s an 7 For All Mankind…can’t wait to check it out. I wonder what stores had to move out to make room for these new shops? Any bid brands that lost their prime spot at Suria?
