Hahaha … we could not resist NOT sharing this with all of you!

We have been seeing a lot of Retailers asking for Donations (Fila or Miss Sixty & Energie) but this one TOPS the list. Sharp Roxy is having their Warehouse Sales cum Charity Day next week.

They are pretty noble, they have a Blood Donation Drive and a Recycling Centre as well.

But what caught our eye was that if you come and DONATE your BLOOD, you will get an additional 10% Discount! Now that’s really giving back to the Society!

Cool huh?

So for 10% more off your … let’s say … LCD TV .. would you give your blood? Mebbe the lines for the Blood Donation will be longer than the Cashier! Can’t wait to see this!

The Return of the Hypermarket Wars ~ Tesco

Did you realized that Tesco is now providing competitor’s pricing on their Weekly Ads?

We did not, it was a sns reader, Alicia, who pointed it out to us on Facebook.

In a colorful ad from Tesco, if you look closely into some of the products featured, you will see in the bottom right corner, in the colors, font & logo of its competitors : namely Carrefour & Giant, you will see all the 3 pricing!

Example :

Dynamo Liquid Detergent (4.7 KG)

Tesco : RM19.68

Carrefour : RM27.25

Giant : RM26.99

Wow! that’s a RM7.31 cheaper than Giant (who is the cheaper of the two). We might as well buy from Tesco and sell it to Carrefour & Giant, and still make a profit!! Alas we can only buy 4 packs per family!

If all our Hypermarkets start showing the competitor prices .. that will be a huge benefit for consumers!

Just thinking, we wonder how much does a Dynamo cost in Mydin?

Would you travel all the way to Carrefour to save 48 Cents on Beer?

We know that during CNY Beer & Soft Drinks are popular buys during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

But we were rather curious and wonder would you travel all the way from Tesco (the logo that resembles “competitor” on their ad below) to Carrefour ?

What if Carrefour was several Kilometres further?

We just wanted to see if you would go to Carrefour just to save 48 Cents… let us know!!
