Where can I find good paediatrics surgeon?

Does any of the mothers here have anyone to recommend her? Pls share your experiences here.

the only Peads Surgeon I know of is Dr Razak from DSH. He circumcised my son afew years back. Maybe you could check him out.

My nico, my sons get circumcised at Kg Baru MC. Their age was then 6 mths and 2 mths old. The surgeon there also can do hernia operation, they’re quite good there. I don;t know his name, though… oh, and the price is quite cheap, around rm130 for babies. Other hosp are as high as rm250++

my_nico, if u r staying somewhere Kajang, u may want to consider Surgeon Dr Hassan. he’s at Kajang Plaza Medical ctr. he did my son’s circumcision. it cost around RM300plus last year

What is the peads surgeon for? Dato Dr Zakaria of HKL is one of the best in his area, but I don’t think he do circumcision.
thanks to all mommies for all your reply. my son he has a hernia and i’m planning to get him circumcized too.

my nico, my son’s circumcision done by Dr Razakof DSH was pretty expensive–I just checked that it was about RM600 and that was 2004. Maybe now more expensive la. How is your son now?
My son had his circumcision when he was 2 DAYS old. Dr Amin Tai of Ampang Puteri Specialist is GOOD!!. He is also the Paed Surgeon for circumcision on call for Gleneagles.
Dr Razak’s pretty expensive, I guess. But he’s such a nice person & very meticulous. very very nice & fine stitching. my 8 year old son had a fall and had to hv a stitch on his forehead- bout 5cm. the scar line is very fine & can hardly see.
my 4y.o daughter had to have a stitch on her forehead coz of a similar incident (yeah.. never a dull moment with kids around! LOL). but dr razak was not around and dr zurin (DSH neuro surgeon) did that for us. ok but not as fine as Dr Razak’s.
for circumcision, u can try checking Dr Hamid Arshat. about RM250. he has his own website.
My_nico, kg baru mc is near MAsjid Kg Baru. It’s at the intersection of the main road, so you can’t miss it. It was 2006 and 2005. Both times it was rm130.
But you have to book first or better yet, just call for an appointment.
I don’t remember the number but you can call the operator 100 for its no.
You can ask for your son’s hernia and circumcision because the same surgeon will attend to your son.

I came upon this wensite while searching for a good and recommended paediatrician around the Kota Damansara area. We just moved here and my 4yo daughter has very high fever last night. Anybody knows of any good doctors around this area apart from Dr Altaf and Dr Razak?

hi rin, welcme to kota damansara area. It’s a bad flu season la my 2 children also still recovering. The Peads doctor i recommend is Dr Vasantha Matthews from Damansara Specialits She is great & experienced doctor. The ohter one I would recommend is in SJMC but think bit too far for U–his name is Dr Sanjay Woodhull. Hope this helps. Keep us posted
My nico….we decided to circumcise our son a day after he was born. Since I gave birth at Damansara Specialist, Dr. Razak did the honours. He was pretty good. No complications whatsoever n I believe my baby was pretty oblivious of d pain. He didn’t even cry. D recovery was rather quick n easy too. Didn’t have to cover or wrap his ‘thingy’ at all unlike d elder kids who r circumcised. D only thing is tht, as with everything else frm DSH, d fee was pretty high. I think Dr. Razak charged us like rm450. N tht was 2 years ago. Dunno how much is he charging now….Gud luck
Rin…a friend of mine who lives in Mutiara Damansara highly recommends Dr. Junina (if I’m not mistaken). She has a clinic in Mutiara Damansara. At d traffic light infront of Cineleisure, u jez turn left into mutiara damansara. Go straight until u see a row of shoplots rite b4 d roundabout. D clinic is in one of the shoplots there. Gud luck

just want to tell u all that.. I WAS SHOCKED! DR AMIN TAI WAS THE ONE WHO OPERATED ME WHEN I WAS 6 ! I’m 16 NOWWWW. I cant imagineeeeeee. He’s no longer can be seen.. but in my heart.. he lives.. WITHOUT HIM, I’D BE DEAD LONG TIME AGO………

My son circumcised @ DSH with Dr Razak when he was 1 day old. At DSH, they encourage to circumcised baby boy before discharge but they do not promote it like they promote the breastfeeding campaign because they said it is still not clinically proven. It cost us RM750.
