This has been the talk of town! Have you been vaccinated? Have you got the Cervical Cancer Jab? Apparently this is a very important innoculation that ladies have to take. It is not only for those who have given birth or the sexually active. Do read on & find out more about this as it prevents Cervical Cancer by 80%! (apparently la)
We checked with DSH (damansara Specialist) on their pricing but it vairies between different gynaes as it seems there are 2 types of product in the market. Anyway DSH price is RM500 per jab & you will need to have 3 jabs at 0months, 2 months and 6 months, altogether. So cost of the vaccination is RM1500.
WOW!!! Almost pengsan when we heard it…but here’s the deal This vaccine costs USD300 per jab in US and SGD700 per jab in Singapore….so thanks to government subsidies….thanks to our Pak Lah
Oh just in case you’re wondering where in the world are they gonna jab us…..we checked it out! Your arms!

as inform by my boss who went to tawakkal, total for 3 jab is RM1200.00 (last two month). dunno if govern hospital did this kind of service. one more thing, the jab for baby, antivirus for pneumokokal (s/thing like that), any info to share?
I had my 6 year old son jabbed for d pneumococcal thingy earlier this year. His pediatrician recommended it for school/kindy-going kids since they are more exposed to all sorts of germs n viruses. Cost us about rm150.
Dunno for sure if it really works or not. But I do notice tht he falls sick less frequently as opposed to b4 taking d jab. So guess it works lah kot….
As with everything else…us mommies will always try to provide d best for d kids….d rest…redha n tawakkal…at least we’ve tried our best

Hey there! Just found out that SJMC HPV jab only cost RM378! They call it the Gardasil product. So the 3 jabs would cost us less than RM1k. That’s pretty good right? anyone else know other prices?
all this talk about HPV jabs….did U know that there are 2 types or HPV jabs? Gardasil anf the other one Cervarix? Each offering different–so have to find out from your gynae lor.

do they do pap smear first before they give the cervical cancer vaccine?

Did anyone go to the DJ ROA for the jab? The cool thing was there was FREE Pap Smear la….aiyoh I went there to see but there was such a queue…I had to rush off for another appointment. Dr Guna from DSH & another Dr Ong were the Gynaes……aiyoh…anyone went can share?
MY fren’s gynae told that cervical cancer jab is most effective for ladies below 26, above is not so necessary anymore..anyone heard of this?
