    hello,
just my personal opinion, as the standard 1(primary 1) is always crowded, is it safer to place your child in the kindergarden attached with the primary school, so easier to enter the class? the child familier with the enviroment and the way of life in that school including everything etc the rules, methods, perceptions..just get use to; so the child would not afraid to go to school and emotional calmer. less bully as they see/know each others since kindergarden which teacher can care about. the primary will be more on academy. about the play while learning concept, why not find a center that parent can join in with your child, once a week, let them feel laughter and happy fun time with parents?

    Hi all,

I’ve read all the posted thread…I too am new to all this pre-school things…my son just turned 4 yesterday and I’ve just started him at a school in TTDI…I agree with the comments that its not just about the system that a school uses but also about the teachers, whether they are caring and patient enough to teach and care for our children…my son so far so good…no crying or tantrums yet!! Met the teachers I think they’re not bad so hopefully everything goes well….

    Hi Ladies

Read all the interesting comments. I wish I had known about this site.
Anyway, I agree with Aini. It’s very important that the teacher’s are caring & sensitive towards the children.
I send my son (4yrs) to Montessori as I like the systems. The school I send him to is very flexible with him. They dont force the children to do anything they do not want to. Moreover there’s lots of games around to occupy the children. They do not give children any homework which I prefer. The school believes in children having a fun childhood.

Do you moms also realise that most of these schools come in double stories and the classrooms r upstairs? worrying to know how teacher (1:15) can control them after class is dismissed.

My son goes to Villa Maria in Damansara heights . so far love the safety aspect of it. quite pricey at Rm400++ a month. It is abt 4-5 kids per teacher. my son was there when he was 2.5 years of age and loves it there. They even have mandarin classes in the syllabus. he is now 5 years old and his english vocab is quite good.

Hi all mothers, actually all pre-schools no matter what they claim they are, are actually more or less the same, of course please don’t count those still teach the old ways like A = Apples, I think Q-Dees, CEC etc are all the same, they are all business oriented i.e. money. Education is a big part of making money as this is a must and they know these days we parents place a lot of importance on child education. my daughter went to CEC Subang Jaya (should be USJ 12), I would say okay, but not really brilliant, all the teachers are the same, they would tell you that your children are slower compare to others and when I checked with other parents, they said the same thing, they said all these because they want you to teach them more at home, anyway, need not worry too much, you will over-stress yourself, let our children have some childhood, you know these days some parents send their little kids to tuition :( As in terms of school fees, they are more or less the same, if you intend to send your children to chinese medium for primary school to prepare them I heard Tadika Chim is good but very stressful. let me know if you need more info, I would be more than happy to help you.
