My maid overstayed! Her work permit expired & I usually get reminders from the agency but this year received NONE!! What should I do? I need to report to immigration right? anyone can advice? HELP!Â

You will fine by imigration RM100 and the longest your maid can stayed in Malaysia is 30 days. After that she have to go back to her own country first, and you have to reapply the permit
really? My fren’s maid overstayed and the immigration said a fine BIG ONE will be imposed on her. Employer fine amount = RM5000 and Maid fine amount = RM1000. Can pengsan la!
Everyone reading this pls take note of when your maid’s passport & work permit expires ya. Sometimes there are 2 different dates. NEVER rely on the agency to remind U. Better still renew the work permit on your own. It’s very easy & U save about RM700!
You should appeal directly to the imigration. Never through the agent… believe me is only a few hundred. I have an experienced. If up to RM5000, better you find a new one….. RM4500 only.
agree with nina. i also had an experinece. for the first time , it onli cost rm100. but 1 got twice. luckly, my husband appeal and said that we overlook the date. then they just charge rm100.
Mayb should go immgration and renew urself instead of waiting for the agency?

Hi… I would like to know how it went with your appeal. My maid’s permit is expiring soon and I think the Fomema will only release her Xray result a few days late. I’m quite anxious to know how much I will kena from the Immigration.
Hi! Dropping by to scribble some notes on the expired permit. It is strongly advised that the employer himself go to the immigration and explain the situation. The fine would range from RM100-RM500 but if you do not appeal (can be done on the same day), it can go up to RM2,000. Get the relvant stamping from the immigration and go with the maid to the Embassy to apply for new passport. For Indonesian, it will cost around RM23.00 and will be issued a new passport within an hour. Then go on line to choose your doctor for FOMEMA, get the RM190 in bank draft/postal order, go to FOMEMA for registration, pay and get the reg. form. Go for the medical check up and then for x-ray. You may request your doctor to expedite the report. The x-ray result shall be posted to your doctor, on line, within 2 working days and the report shall be posted to FOMEMA online within 1 day. Keep checking with your doctor/the website. Once okayed, go to the immig dept for permit renewal. Payment can be made by cash now. Everything should be clear within 7 working days. If you can bring your maid along, bring 2 passport size photographs of her and straight away do the ID Card at the immig office. Good Luck!
hi..i applied and get maid on my own, the thing is her chest xray acccording didnt pass FOMEMA, suppose to report to get the permit in january 2009, but delayed coz a friend offered help to clear up with fomema and get permit directly, however, i was cheated and until now i havent report to immigration at putrajaya to get permit coz i dont know how to appeal for the FOMEMA rejection..everything else is ready…just this FOMEMA thing didnt pass..PLEASE HELP ME…my mom really loves this one maid…my mom is not well and really needs someone to take care of her. if anybody can help me…please e-mail me at mdazrin1@streamyx.com…and please no hanky panky…i am out of ideas…please…

Hi, i’m planning to hire maid but still not sure whether sure i hire philipino maid or combodian maid. anyone know whether philimore reliable??? did anyone hear of Ryuji agency??? or anyone know any reliable agency???
A fren of mine introduc me a agency, where they only supply philipino maid where their salary is RM850 per month (no off day) but this morning another fren of mine told me that if RM850 a month which mean they are on dark side so i have to make sure to the maid sign an agreement state that she agree with RM850 salary.
now i’m so confusing, whether should i hire philipino maid or combodia?? i saw news paper philimore advertise combodian maid guaranteed no runaway & english speaking.
The main reason i hire maid is to take care my son, as my nanny can’t be able to take care for me since last 2 weeks, and i been trying to find nanny since 1 month ago but still i can’t get it.
